Tanforan Shopping Center — Local services in San Bruno

Thank you Tanforan for being what was a really nice mall. Not lowly rating it because of the place itself; it’s just so sad to see a mall that was once such vibrant place, that it’s turned into a depressing desolated ghost town. A mall turning into some Bio-tech campus…just seems so…idk what to feel. Like, a part of many of us is going to cease to exist

This dying mall used to be so vibrant. The 2020 plandemic brought remote work and took away all the shopper traffic working in nearby tech offices. Developers now want to build a biotech complex on the land. The next viral outbreak can conveniently happen next to a major metropolitan area resulting in another round of lockdowns to bankrupt businesses allowing land and property to be bought at fire sale prices. I was there yesterday and saddened that it looks like a ghost town, too many closed stores. I was there years before Covid and it’s thriving really really nice. Far from what I knew. It’s 4 because I love this mall and surely possibly it will bring back to glory. The adjacent JC Penney is closing in 6 days … happy that Barnes and Noble still there, BJ and Target. Well they have the Hyundai dealership and bart stop at this location. Food court...
