IF YOU DONT WANT OT READ THIS LONG ESSAY LOL, HERE ARE POINTS I WRITE ABOUT: Didn’t offer compliments drinks during pedi understaffed and booking to many people at the same time left unattended so they could serve another customer was nicked several times and cuticles not cleaned up nicely crooked nail and thick French tip even when communicating my concerns
Things to keep in mind when reading: I am a first time customer Yes I ended up giving in because I was on a time crunch. I had my mom watching my baby so I didn’t want to take long by having them redo the whole thing.
Postpartum, Loosing your Pink, finding yourself again, just trying to do something for myself. Wanting some time for myself to lay back and relax while at the same time feeling good about myself . So what better place than to get your nails done. I was Sadly Disappointed. This place was recommended to me and after seeing so many great reviews, I had high hopes that I was going to have a great experience and service. Unfortunately, it did not go that way. I called in advance and booked a mani and pedi. Was told I can come in at 4pm. Great! Spot secured This is my first time at this Lounge and I saw they do complimentary drinks during your pedicure. BUT not once was I offered anything. I was almost done with my pedi. Just needed some nail polishes cleaned off from areas surrounding my nails. Then 2 other people came in also with appointments. That’s when my nail tech rushed over to attend the other customers and didn’t do any final detail to my pedi. Remember I was booked for a mani as well. They were understaffed so I had to wait 10-15 min for a nail tech to finish her client. Once I was seated I explained I wanted short nails because I do have a baby and having them long would get in the way of properly caring for her. Other people might master long nails and babies but I have yet to get there. Since having my child, I have had postpartum anxiety and a way of coping has been by biting my nails, Ik i got to break that habit, im working on it. The nail tech then calls me out on my nail biting and why I do it. I just felt like that was a unnecessary thing to discuss or bring up. She started my nails and clipped my thumb wrong and tried fixing it with a nail filer. But it was still crooked. I mentioned it to her over and over again after having me recheck it but she still couldn’t fix it properly. So I gave in and said it’s okay to just leave it as is. This was suppose to be relaxing for me but not I’m just stressed out and want to leave. But hey this is my first time here. Maybe I just need to trust the process and give them the benefit of the doubt since they have amazing reviews. During my mami she nicked me twice and didn’t do a good job and cleaning my cuticles. I asked for a French tip, a classical timeless French tip with a thin white line. But she did it thick. I also asked her to fix it that I wanted it thin and showed a reference picture but yet again after constantly telling her thinner and not seeing a difference, I gave up and let her continue. I’m not sure why this place has 5 stars. But I regret coming to this place for my first time away from...
Read moreI came to Chic Nails Lounge based on the great reviews and I am SO happy I did! This will absolutely be my new go to spot. Everyone was so friendly! The massage chairs are very comfortable, and the entire space was clean and beautiful. I had a regular pedicure and a gel manicure and could not have been happier. They had really pretty gel colors to choose from, and I found the perfect red glitter color for Christmas. I am obsessed with the manicure! It's absolutely beautiful! She really took her time on the manicure and made everything perfect. I think this is the best manicure I've ever had... I can't stop staring at my nails, I love them so much! So happy to have found this spot and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you to everyone at Chic Nails Lounge for the fabulous experience and beautiful manicure...
Read moreWow. If I could have LINH do my nails every time, I absolutely would. I live in LA but frequently come down to SD and the previous nail salon I went to has closed down. I’d be trying a couple places in the area that were all fine, but today I took my mother with me to Chic. The salon has definitely been recently updated. The chairs are brand new. You’re offered a variety of complimentary beverages when you walk in the door. I was getting a regular pedi and a hard gel mani, and was assigned to Linh. She’s incredible. This is the only manicure I’ve ever walked away from where I wouldn’t change a thing. She’s so fast, such a perfectionist, and really understands what you’re...
