Went to the Justin Bieber Justice World Tour concert 2 months ago on February 18th, and the Arena itself provided an amazing experience that would be a forever memory for myself to keep. Traffic to enter the arena is smooth and those who are planning to purchase upcoming concert tickets that don’t provide parking should purchase reserved parking through the official pachenga arena website considering that it could be a hassle finding a parking spot last minute (trust me it does come in handy even tho a few extra dollars would have to come out of the pocket). Security guards did their job really well in coordinating guests in allowing certain items that could be carried in or not (they could at times interact w/ guests in having friendly conversations and could be funny as well), carding for vaccine statues (this was before the mask mandate ended), and directing the locations towards seating inside which had been so generous of them to do for guests attending the event. Other than that the only downside, is to just prepare to pay for overpriced items such as $4 dippin-dots, $6 water bottles, etc which is kinda ridiculous while having to pay for expensive merchandise which could vary from every celebrity. Despite this short criticism, seating is viewable from all angles in the arena (even though it could feel uncomfortable at times) and the sounds from the speakers could be heard from all sides. Tips that I could give off tho is that those who are deciding to attend concerts is to leave early in despite of finding a close by parking space inside the Arena parking lot ($25 parking) or have reserved parking spots on hand ready to be scanned, line up early on every entrances within the Arena due to crowds starting to form early (if arrived early u could be able to meet the celebrities performing :) ), and if planning to purchase merchandise head to those destinations first considering that those also tend to form long lines meaning minutes of waiting. Overall, I definitely recommend this Arena in San Diego for live one stage...
Read moreConsider very carefully if you choose to go to this venue to see a concert-I actually expect decent sound quality and a a view at from at least of ONE MONITOR NO MATTER WHO IS STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU and seats that aren't shoved close together your knees hit the back of other peoples chairs - Of course I know this is not the artist issue. However, I would have to say that as an artist, I would want to make sure my fans have a decent experience, no matter how much they paid for the seats. Their seating just squashed people in - with no room to walk past anyone - no room to see anything if people are standing - it's like a truck full of pigs and cattle going to slaughter. It's just ridiculous and I absolutely have a right to complain about that because I paid really good money to NOT see anything unless that guy sat down in front of me. There is not one possibility in the world that this arena doesn't know for a fact that people cannot see the screens that are so low to the ground that people can't see them above other peoples head and shoulders if they're standing, they absolutely could have raised those and should raise those screens so everyone who paid to see the concert can actually see the concert.! I will not return to the Pechanga Arena in San Diego to see a concert. At some point the paying patrons of these concerts need to fight back and say "no we're not gonna be squashed in like pigs going to slaughter" and the money we paid to see something should have some value to. Just sayin I go to a lot of concerts, and this by far was the absolute I go to a lot of concerts, and this was the worst viewing experience I have had in any arena venue that I've been to. I think it's made for sports, and there is a 4 sided screen that comes down from the ceiling from the center with four screens on it so the fans of the hockey game (or whatever) can actually see whatever might be played there. But they didn't do that for this concert. It is not a venue made for concerts. It...
Read moreWent for a concert, staff continuously gave conflicting directions and created dangerous situations. We called ahead about the water policy and were told we would be allowed to bring only one 16oz sealed water bottle per person. After waiting in line for over 4 hours outside, security came out 15 minutes before the doors open and announced only empty water bottles and refillable empty bottles would be allowed inside. We asked the guard what to do and he told us we must pour out our water and refill it inside. After pouring out all of our water staff came out and berated us for pouring our water out on the pavement. Rain on the pavement is perfectly fine but water from a water bottle on the ground is completely unacceptable. Staff were extremely rude and condescending about this incident. We had tried so hard to follow their rules and instructions and they acted like we were disrespecting them.
Once inside and being general admission floor tickets, we were given green wristbands and told to wait in another line for about 45 minutes. We asked multiple staff if this was the line for general admission floor and they confirmed it was. Staff made no effort to manage the line and a huge crowd of people simply cut to the front and crowded the door. When they finally opened the door everyone rushed forward and multiple people got trampled and pushed down the stairs. Once we finally made it down the stairs, we found we were up in the stands with no way down to the floor. This created more confusion and panic and easily could have been avoided with simple crowd control and some semblence of competence from the staff.
Expect misdirection, last minute changes, and...
