Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in San Diego

I came to this location Thursday, July 27 approximately 5:15 PM with my fiancé, for an ice cream cake. While I was in here, the gentleman that was working, was having a very bad day, mumbling that he had to make a lot of orders by himself with no help showing a lot of aggression. He starts to slam the ice cream scoop in the container and slammed the doors, where my fiancé got very scared of this aggression, and felt unsafe and we had to walk out of the establishment after he made a comment to himself I should spit in these Mexicans ice cream. Spoke to corporate and found out this is a private Baskin Robbins. They are still going to take immediate action over this matter because this is very disgusting and sickening that this behavior. This has been going on for close to three years all negative reviews saying this employ had aggression and abusive behavior...

Last night I was there and the place was pretty busy. A male who I am assuming was the manager and maybe even the owner, kicked everybody out. It was 5 till 10pm and he told us, I'm closing the front door, please leave thru the side door, cool. Two minutes later he said, "Okay guys we're closing please leave." When have you been asked to leave from an eatery establishment? The common, correct and polite thing to do is wait till the people leave. It wasn't even 10:00 yet. As soon as you see the employees cleaning up, you get the hint that you need to leave the premises. I wasn't the only one who thought this man was rude, people were commenting outside the premises. They were saying it had to do with racial issues, I'm not sure I would say that. What ever his reason was, it was rude and uncalled for. Never going back to this...

We had a gift certificate to spend here and decided to stop in after having lunch at Phil's BBQ nearby. The store is bright and clean with cone options clearly on display, which made it super easy to choose.

There were a few flavors we were curious about, but due to the pandemic, they were not offering free samples. Boyfriend got the double scoop with cherries jubilee (his favorite) and the triple mango. The triple mango was absolutely superb and I highly recommend. I got a single scoop of the blackberry hibiscus. It's got a nice balance of the berry and sweet floral flavors with the hibiscus ribbon.

There was plenty of booth seating inside and a few high top tables outside. Since masks were required inside, we enjoyed our ice creams outside. Overall, can't go wrong...
