Elam's Hallmark Shop — Local services in San Diego

I pop in here every once in a while, usually for special occasions, or when an e-mail is just not good enough. I was looking for a specific writer of cards (Marjorlein Bastin) and just didn't see what I was looking for. There were two ladies behind the counter who really went out of their way to help out...they even searched through the bins of cards not yet placed on the shelf. It was also a breath of fresh air not to be told to look online or to check the app! Real old fashioned customer service is alive and well here. The store is loaded with everything you could imagine and is always immaculate. Think I'll have to come...

This is the best Hallmark store in the entire county! I've been visiting for years and truly appreciate the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at this location. The store is well-kept and organized, plus the selection of items they carry is exceptionally good. Owing largely to the fantastic staff, who regularly greet me by name, this store is just such a joy to walk through on any given day (but especially when there is seasonal holiday decor on display). I actually go out of my way to shop at this location simply because it is the best Hallmark I've yet visited....

I came to the store a minute past 7:30 and a lady walked out and told me the store was closed. I came back to the same location :30 minutes later to find customers still shopping in the store and the open sign still on. Personally it feels like this place didn't want me to shop there because of the way I looked. Any other reason is beyond me!
