I attend Latoyaâs Private Pilates sessions and itâs my favorite part of my week. I always preferred weights and HIIT workouts, and some yoga for stretching and flexibility. I had previously thought Pilates was for people who liked stretching and didnât want to sweat or work too hard. I was very pleasantly mistaken lol. After my first evaluation session I loved it.
Through Latoyaâs knowledgeable explanations and in-tune guidance I learned how to connect better with my body for an elevated awareness. Understanding how focused and intentional movements impact my muscles, tendons & ligaments, joints, I love all that kind of info. Pilates is great on its own, and for me it adds some variety, and fills the gaps of weights and HIIT. I think itâs the perfect combination of body weight exercise and flexibility. A great, safe workout for everyone.
Itâs also been eye opening how beneficial it is to everyday movement and function, and my mind/body/spirit connection. Latoyaâs passion and positive energy shines thru her instruction and dialog. Pilates demands your full attention and focus so it allows you to drop into your present state of being, which I often need as a reminder. LaToya works at such a great place for beginners. I've always wanted slower more focus movements in my workouts so I'm so glad I found this studio! Not to mention the community is such a vibe!
