I really can't say enough good things about this place. I started my journey a year ago when, after living with and running on an injured gluteus medius tendon for 6 months, I couldn't run for any distance at all, or even keep up with my dog on walks. Problem was, I had just been accepted to both Boston and Chicago Marathons for 2022. It was December 2021, and I knew I had only 4 months to train up for Boston. Suffice to say I didn't have much hope going in, but I met with Dr. Lily and we decided on a plan that would just maybe get me Boston-ready, or as close as possible, by April.
She gave me a structured return to running plan that I followed, along with a set of exercises to rehab my injured tendon. Along the way, she would periodically check my running form with the Motion Metrix system at Prehab, and recommend corrections in real time to improve my efficiency and reduce my injury risk. Although the return to running was slower than I had hoped, the exercises strengthened the area and gave me enough confidence to know I could run the distances required for marathon training eventually. I crushed my last 20-mile training run, and was able to complete the Boston Marathon without stopping.
In the run up to the Chicago Marathon, I encountered a hamstring injury that sidelined me from running for the 3 weeks prior to the marathon. Dr. Lily worked with me on that as well, offering ART and laser therapy to complement the work of my sports chiropractor, and I was able to enjoy the run through Chicago as well.
After Chicago, Dr. Lily worked to further rehab and strengthen my hamstring, and one month later I was able to run a local half marathon without pain or other issue. After a bit more training, I set a goal to try and qualify for the 2023 New York City Marathon at another local half marathon, and I'm happy to report that not only did I achieve my goal, but I did it without any sign of the injuries that had been plaguing me for the past year and a half. I feel great running now, and look forward to enlisting Dr. Lily and the Prehab team to help me in my run up to NYC next...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm an average runner, who loves to be able to get out for 3-5 miles on any given day (10-15/week) for my mental well-bring. I've run for most of my life and have done a range of events from 5ks to marathons. I had been struggling with some extreme foot pain in my instep and arch, which kept me from being able to run. I would wake up with it very tight, and walking was also difficult when I first woke up. It reminded me of plantar fasciitis, but it was in a different area of my foot. Sometimes simply walking would hurt. I tried new shoes, arches, rest, etc.
I had been unable to run for over 4 months, so a friend recommended that I get a gait analysis from Prehab. After contacting them online, Arsen called me to learn about my needs and we scheduled an appointment for the analysis. When I showed up to their welcoming facility, Arsen was able recall what I explained on the phone, but continued to ask further questions. He performed the analysis and was also able to help me identify the cause of my pain: ankle mobility. He taught me exercises to help with that, did some manipulations on my ankle, and helped me to identify ways to improve my overall form and stride. The appointment was incredibly thorough. In addition, he sent me a list of exercises for me to continue my healing at home.
After only 2 sessions, I have been able to run again. (Endurance is my limitation currently!) I am more aware of ways to correct my form, and each run improves since I am mindful to ensure that my posture and gait are appropriate. The best part is that I am waking up with less and less pain after I run, and I can tell that I'm on my way to resuming my previous running routine. My overall activity has increased, and I feel very optimistic about my overall conditioning.
The bottom line is that I recommend Prehab to anyone who knows somethings "not quite right" with their running and would like help to understand...

I am a very avid cyclist and runner, as well as participate in a number of other athletic/sport activities.
I was scheduled to run my first full marathon (CIM 2022) in December. Training was already well underway since July. All was going according to plan, w/strong progress being made but I suffered a rather debilitating groin injury at the end of September which paused running as a whole.
After a number of very high recommendations from my cycling and running community, and really as a last ditch effort to see if I could still make the race. I finally sought the help of Prehab at the start of October (biggest month of training).
Marielle L' Heureux, took on this task with a VERY short time frame to work with and she worked EXTREMELY diligent to get me better. She helped determine the specific area of injury, focused on key exercises/stretches that ultimately made bounds and leaps in healing as well as strength. She also conducted a running gait analysis that proved to be incredibly beneficial. That specific technology and data allowed her to implement different exercises to help perfect my running mechanics for efficiency, speed, longevity and would help prevent any other injuries in the future.
With the help and guidance of Marielle, I was able to make it to CIM 2022, feeling very strong and finishing with a time of 3:05:45. Initially I strove for 3:30 due to the lack of running in October and did not want to aggravate anything but everything felt good enough to run without limits.
If I could give Prehab SD 1000 stars, I would. I have nothing but positive things to say about each of them. The team at Prehab are some of the most professional and compassionate group of individuals that I have ever met. Choosing to work with the team at Prehab through my athletic journey, has been one of the best decisions that I...
