I instantly fell in love with their "Hashbrown" breakfast burrito. It's not only packed with bacon, cheese, egg, and, of course, hashbrowns... but it's packed with flavor! I've had my fair share of breakfast burritos from other Mexican Food Restaurants & the majority of them are boring and bland. I found myself adding salt just to have some sort of flavor and searching for the bacon. I highly recommend Burritos Santana for authentic Mexican food. They have plates of food I've never heard or seen in ANY other restaurant. They have pictures of the items on their menu posted throughout their restaurant walls so you can see exactly what you're getting in your food. They are really friendly and are more than happy to answer any questions regarding the ingredients, great for those who are picky eaters, like myself, or have food allergies. I've noticed some items cost a little more than other restaurants, but I'm willing to pay more for great tasting, fresh food. Oh, and don't forget to visit their salsa bar, which has several different red and green salsas, including avocado salsa and nacho cheese sauce! Most restaurants don't properly season their meat, especially Carne asada. I'll try their carne asada burrito next and let you know what I think about it. I'm always so anxious to sink my teeth into my food that I forget to take pictures for you all to see. I eat at Burritos Santana about twice a week, and I will post pictures from my next visit. Psst it's best to call in your order ahead of time, especially during their busy lunch &...
Read moreI was recommended to this place by a friend who hadn't been here since before the pandemic. It seemed simple and clean inside, not fancy. The big screen TV had a documentary on about drug trafficking. Lovely viewing for the lunch crowd. 😑 I ordered the chicken enchiladas combo and only waited slightly less than the 10 minutes the cashier had told me. The two enchiladas looked so good, I attacked them first. Boy, oh, boy, so much chicken packed in there and so nicely seasoned! I didn't stop until they were gone. Then, I tried the rice. Nothing special, which was not only disappointing, but surprising, considering how awesome the burritos were. How hard is it to make flavorful rice? I tried the refried beans next. Eh. Again, just ok. I texted my friend my thoughts and she said she used to go there all the time and it was her experience that the rice and beans were "hit and miss." Well, if that's all that's hit and miss, I'll certainly go back to try more items because those chicken burritos were delicious! They have quite an extensive menu with pictures all over the walls so you definitely know what you'll be getting. I'm looking forward...
Read moreGirl behind the counter was on her phone did not even acknowledge me until she was done with her phone. I ordered 4 fish tacos with extra white/ tomatillo sauce, when I paid my 4 fish tacos turned out to be $20.00. I asked why so much for the food, then she replied because of the extra sause I ordered. She charged me $1.50 x 4 for 0.50 worth of extra sause. I told her it's too much she should at least give me 4 sides of sauses. Her reply was "I don't make the rules I just follow them." I told her I understand I am willing to pay for the extra sause but not $1.50 and if we cannot come to an agreement I would like other tacos without the sause on it. Then she came and gave me a side cup with less than half in it. Anyway there are alot of other places close by selling the same food for cheaper and tastier. They are not unique. Bad spread...
