I have been getting my haircut from Uyen Tran since 2010 and it always turns out perfect every time. She started out at Gloss The Salon and opened her very own hair salon in last summer in Little Italy.

Theory Hair Studio is in a cool building off of Beech and across from Craft and Commerce. It's a small but very calming with a light mint wall, modern decor and high ceiling with all glass windows in the front.

Uyen is the best hair stylist I have ever had. I have a lot of cowlicks and she managed to customize a fashionable but yet work appropriate haircut for me. My favorite part of the process is the shampoo, it's my time express man-spa. When the haircut is complete, I get my hair rinsed out and she wrapped my face with a hot-minty-smelling towel. It sounds a little strange but is the most relaxing experience.

She offers Haircut, Hair color, even for men, I've seen her do an awesome gray blending and shaved off about 7 years off this guy, Hair Extensions and Eyelash Extensions. I did not even know there was such thing as Eyelash Extensions until I came in early for my appointment one time and saw it in action. Probably the most intricate work I have seen.

Uyen at Theory Hair Studio graced me with the best cut and color of my life - I was relatively happy with my hair before, but it is now clear to me that my hair was not living up to its full potential​ before my visit to Theory.

Everything about the experience was professional, fun, and high quality. I was able to easily schedule appointments for both a cut and color, scheduled separately due to my personal preference, with very short notice. I received several very friendly reminders of my appointment time that made me even more excited about​ my hair transformation. I have been going to Uyen for my hair for about a year and a half and have been getting eyelash extensions from her for the past 6 months. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this salon! Uyen is a perfectionist who always takes the time to ensure that my hair/lashes are perfect at every appointment.

When I first came to Theory I had just gotten highlights done at another salon where they had rushed through my highlights and they had turned out as streaky and chunky-- not at all the natural look I was going for! Uyen took the time to fix the mistakes they had made with my hair to give me very natural looking highlights and a great haircut.
