What a terrible experience. I had an appointment scheduled for many weeks before the schedule date, with a hair stylist for 9:00 AM. This was an important day for me because my daughter is getting married at the Presidio. We are from out of town and had scheduled everything perfectly and responsibly way ahead of time including this hair appointment . I was supposed to be at the Presidio by 12 oâclock ready to help my daughter get into her wedding dress and to begin taking professional photos at several sites throughout San Francisco with the trolley that was reserved specifically for photos either our families before the wedding. When I checked in at Blowology, I was told youâre not on the schedule and no one else will be here until 10 oâclock. I was like what?? What are you talking about? The hairstylist that was there, which is not who I was scheduled with, was the only one there and had a client. She told me that the reason why Iâm not on the schedule is because the stylist no longer works there. I asked why the owner or anyone with better sense did not call, email, or send snail mail to me to notify me that sheâs no longer there and advise me to make other arrangements or just simply tell me Iâm sorry. She could not fit me in because they were booked until 1145, but I had to be at the Presidio by 12 PM. She, of course, could not answer my questions and the owner was not there, so I left right away and had to get back to my hotel to do my own hair for my daughterâs big day! Iâm not particularly skilled at doing my own hair. I usually just wear it in a ponytail so this is an extreme inconvenience for me on such an important event in my daughterâs life . I tried to check around town for other places that might be able to squeeze me in on such short notice and of course none could on a summer Saturday in late August. If I donât show up for my appointment Iâm expected to still get chargedâbut this stylist wasnât there at our arranged time and nobody, not even the owner responsible for her business, decided to notify me that this was the case. I donât get anything in return except for unreimbursed Lyft rides from my hotel and back and now I have to scramble to figure out what...
Read moreUnfortunately we were late to our marriage license appointment because your stylist was late for my appointment and took too long doing my hair it should Not take take an hour and forty five minutes for a blow out. The other stylist had three other clients in the time it took to do mine. It also was not was I asked for and fell flat right away and my hair was straight for my photos ten minutes later. I got a blow out the week before with my stylist at home and my curls stayed for two days. Iâm really disappointed especially with how much we paid and it set my whole day off being late. Also my other two family members looked more glamorous than me on my wedding day. Everyone asked me why their hair was done but mine wasnât. I also booked with you because of the mimosa and Champaign and you were out even tho I booked months ahead saying we were excited about it. I also checked the cancellation policy is 24 hours not 48 and we called 24 hours in advance and left a voicemail to cancel the barber appointment and then texted again to confirm. I feel like we were mislead to still have to pay for the deep condition service that none of us wanted to cover for the barber appointment Also the product was left in my hair for literally 3 minutes I donât understand how thatâs a deep conditioning treatment. Is there anything you can do to make this right? This is a photo of my hair when I got to city hall-a ten minute drive from blowology it literally looks like my...
Read moreI dislike leaving poor reviews. But everyone around me at my best friendâs wedding said, âyou paid $100 for your hair style?! What even did they do? It looks like nothing stayed together.â
When I look back, I was really disappointed with the services that I received - I was already stressed out because I was in the middle of editing my speech, so I really did not want to stress about my hair.
Truthfully, I felt like I was taken advantage of. Iâm the type of person who doesnât want to micromanage a stylist, and wants to trust their judgment and ability. However, I explicitly told the stylist she would have to leave my hair pinned in curls as my hair texture has a hard time holding curls, yet she seemed reluctant to do even that. And she did not. As a consequence, my hair fell apart within an hour.
Instead of listening to her clients and ensuring that they would be happy with the style and without any reassurance that it would last throughout the event, it seemed like she was focused on taking pictures of what she believes to look great. Which werenât even the Hollywood waves, which I requested specifically a week in advance.
I would have happily paid $150-200 to another stylist to do the job, especially if they would listen to the client and incorporate feedback in order to provide an excellent service.
I would appreciate if you would reach out to me in terms of how to rectify this because after all pictures are forever and my hair didnât even...
