LIFE CHANGING Where do I begin?! I have only been seeing Christine for a few months - and now, I cannot imagine my life without her.

INSURANCE It's particularly great if your insurance covers acupuncture (my wife and I are thanking our lucky stars that ours does at only $20 Copay so we get to see her once a week -- and I always look forward to it)

WHAT TO EXPECT First you fill some forms out online, then you do a very thorough consultation so Double Happiness Health can really outline your goals.

Christine then checks in on your well-being at the beginning of each session to update and modify the approach as needed.

Then comes treatment and what I like to think of as "health coaching."

TREATMENT I highly recommend sessions with manual therapy, which involves some massage and cupping (Christine has magic hands) before acupuncture.

I can be squeamish about needles, but I feel at ease with Christine's gentle, effective approach with acupuncture.

I can literally feel my energy radiating / releasing / converting from these tiny little pressure points she intuitively knows to focus on.

Sometimes, she does some aromatherapy.

AFTER TREATMENT ("health coaching," if you will) Christine created a personalized plan that has inspired my self-awareness around foods, hydration, menstruation, life in general.

I am already feeling better and I know I can attribute my newfound emotional consistency to the work she does on me.

SUPPLEMENTS We've started to incorporate some Chinese herbs and, being a Pharm.D., you might think I'd have my hesitations or disbelief in the practice, but it's quite the opposite: these have been around for thousands of years, longer than anything man-made in a lab, and whenever I follow the advice Christine gives, the results are much faster and more sustainable than what I've seen with Western medicines.

BALANCED HEALER Christine is very well-rounded in her skills and knowledge, easy-going, non-judgmental, and genuinely supportive (i.e. never feels pushy around recommendations, etc... in fact, she is helping me be less guilt-ridden / self-judge-y when I make subpar lifestyle decisions)

Acupuncture & acupressure at Double Happiness Health is the only treatment that has consistently successfully improved my chronic pain illness of 10 years.

I'm a young disabled woman who has had constant high level chronic pain for 10 years in both hands, my arms, and neck. I have been seen by numerous doctors and physical therapists with very little improvement to my symptoms. When I first came to see Double Happiness Health my health was so disabling that my doctors told me to stop working.

Through Christine Friel's acupuncture and acupressure treatments, my health has drastically improved. I have returned to work full time! My pain flares do not last as long, my pain at rest is minimal, and my emotional capacity to deal with constant pain has vastly improved. I first noticed that the treatments were working when I left feeling like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

Good but didn't get pregnant after 6 months of acupuncture before my IVF treatment. Without the acupuncture I was able to conceive twice but I miscarried. The treatments are very expensive. I followed the recommendations and went to every appointment after work for months. Sometimes getting to the appointment after working all day in a busy clinic with high acuity patients further compounded my stress. The supplements and herbs are great but fertility doctors recommend pts discontinue taking them upon getting pregnant. The circle bloom meditations are helpful but not very diverse, at times it made me more irritated to keep hearing a white woman's voice. The treatment plan was new for me. Prior acupuncturists didn't give me a treatment plan. The amount of vegetables recommended on my treatment plan was an impossible amount for me to eat. I felt disappointed not being able to eat half of the amount recommended which lowered my spirits. Also the emphasis on everything needing to be organic further exacerbated my stress. The types of food on my treatment plan didn't reflect foods from my culture. The collagen gave me heart palpitations and hypertension. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. The 1st acupuncturist that treated me was a bit rough, but Beth and Christine are amazing. I loved how I felt after my treatments but unfortunately I wasn't able to conceive. It would be nice if clients got a discount on fertility treatments if they're not able to conceive and opt to try acupuncture again. I paid the full price for weekly treatments along with the herbs. Unfortunately it wasn't made clear to me that I was supposed to take a larger amount of herbs during the months of my treatments. I wonder if this would have been explained sooner would I have been able...
