I have been going to this hair salon in San Francisco for the past year and I am extremely happy with the services I have received. The owner and stylist is highly professional and always goes above and beyond to make sure I am satisfied with my hair.

Not only is the stylist talented at what they do, they are also extremely friendly and make the experience enjoyable. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere.

One of the things I appreciate about this salon is the convenient location. It is easily accessible, making it convenient for me to stop by for a quick touch-up or for a full styling session.

2023 update: still a great experience with Aki. I showed her a photo and she made it happen. Another relaxing haircut. Aki's place and Aki herself are very sweet. You can tell she worked hard to create a relaxing space. I recently moved to SF from out of state, so I'm still having sticker shock for the prices of haircuts. Aki's prices are on the moderate/higher end ($65-85 for women's cut at the time I visited), but it included a wash and blow dry, which is better than some places. She gave me recommendations for my hair style and care, and the cut itself looked cute. She even offered me a cup of green tea. There is a cute cat in the shop which I'm guessing will interact as much as you want. I'm allergic but it wasn't a problem; s/he just relaxed on the couch and I had no reaction. I got a haircut at Hare Hair last week. I believe the stylist was Aki, although I’m not sure because she never introduced herself. I asked for a lob, and had some inspiration images to share. With little to no discussion, the stylist proceeded to aggressively razor my hair to the point where she left me with 1/4 of the volume. Some of the strands are only 1-2” in length, which means my head is now always itchy because my hair is coarse. I’m 40 years old and this, by far, was the worst haircut I’ve ever received.
