Chill Theaters - World's First Mobile Movie Theater — Local services in San Jose

This was one of the best, most unique date-night experiences I've ever had, and what you get for the price is incredible. This is a bit of a long review, but essentially: you should go ahead and book this.

The booking process was straightforward and painless. The only part that took some effort was figuring out where I could park a 60-foot trailer in San Francisco (I'm sure the company would have helped with this if I asked, but I just did some research myself). I decided to have it parked on Great Hwy, just past Balboa St. There's a massive amount of free street parking there that's rarely used, and it's right across from Ocean Beach, so you get great sunset views out the window and you can go for a walk on the beach before/during/after your session. Aside from picking the location, they'll handle everything for you. Our driver (Endre) was super helpful and communicative.

The trailer is incredible and has everything you might need for a movie night, sporting event, or just to play video games with your friends. The 100-inch OLED screen, the Klipsch surround sound system (with 2 subwoofers), the roku with every possible streaming service, and the Xbox + Playstation (2 controllers each), all make for an elite private theater setup. There's even a tablet that lets you dial in the audio settings and crank up the subwoofers. Also, high-speed WiFi that you can use to AirPlay your own content.

The furniture is comfortable (2 recliners, 2 nice chairs w/footrests, 2 armchairs, and a few barstools), and they have coffee/drink tables as well as a bar area. It's climate controlled, has a nice bathroom, has a minifridge + freezer, a microwave, and a shelf full of snacks (these are for purchase, but you can also bring your own). You can also control the lighting and the shades on the windows.

I've never written a review for a business before, but this really was just the coolest experience and I gotta give them props. It was so much fun, and I'll absolutely be booking it again soon (especially given how well it's priced). Can't recommend...

Our experience with Chill Theatres was unique and extraordinary. As parents of little kids, it's hard to find time to go to the movies. So when I saw a post about Chill Theatres on Instagram, I had to book it. They arrived an hour before the booking period to set up.

You need a large space for the trailer, preferably an open area. It can't block other cars. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac, so it worked for us. That's my main tip for anyone considering them.

The entire experience was five stars. The trailer was clean and had a bathroom, snacks, a kitchenette with a microwave and sink, and plenty of comfortable seating. There were lots of outlets for charging devices and every streaming service available. Though I'm not a gamer, there were many gaming amenities too. The curtains provided a great dim light experience.

My husband, a few family members, and I enjoyed two hours of quality time watching our favorite shows. After the slot, they left. It was so simple.

We had a super experience! Booking was as simple as reserving a time. Sean was in communication with me prior and happily accommodated requests for movies.

We live in an apartment and Chill Theaters was such a nice way to host a teen birthday in a spacious and well appointed theater on wheels. The kids had their privacy and all the media options you could want. I think this is a great option for sporting, or say watching the Oscars, or hosting a game tournament without needing to open your home to guests.

We ordered pizza because-teens, but Chill Theaters did have a well stocked snack and beverage situation, plus fridges and a microwave. The restroom is very spacious and nicely kept.

The driver Javi arrived well in advance of our start time and set everything up for us. He was really personable and helpful (the girls noted he also has perfect skin🤴🏽).
