The "Break Room" is California's "Back Room" on Rush Street, Downtown Chicago.

Mind blowing unplugged experience. The artist absolutely engage with the 50 or so very very lucky in-the-know attendees. Its like having your favorite recording artist appear in your Man-Cave. I actually had tears of complete joy running down my face.

We have been attending the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest for several years now with VIP access, a very cool weekend, fantastic Jazz, Blues, Swing, Salsa in all sorts of venues within a few blocks of downtown. General admission is quite reasonable but VIP passes (available with some membership levels of San Jose Jazz) offer access to all venues, comp food/drink/parking. If you are from out of town, local hotels (Fairmont most central) offer great rates that sell out early, also if flying into San Jose Airport, no car needed, only 5 miles...

The San Jose Jazz Festival was delightful! It offered a wide array of venues & talented musicians where attendees could be entertained all weekend.

I enjoyed listening to many of the artists and group but my favorites were: Bombay Jazz, The Nasa Ames Band, Guitar Fest, and the San Jose Jazz Summer Camp Combo. However, the best & most entertaining group that I had the pleasure of listening to was the "Sultans of String", musicians from Canada. They were wonderful.
