Title: Disappointing Service and Subpar Food at [Restaurant Name]
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5 stars)
I recently had an unfortunate experience at Mosiac that left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. After a long flight, I decided to order takeout from the restaurant downstairs. However, my entire experience, from the food to the service, was far below my expectations. While picking up the food, that person was nice. Let me start with the hot wings. I have never tasted anything as salty as these wings. It was as if they had emptied an entire container of Morton's salt onto them. I called the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction, only to be met with rudeness from the person who answered the phone. He claimed that's how they make the wings and refused to acknowledge the excessive saltiness. I requested to speak with someone else, hoping for a more reasonable response.
Unfortunately, the second person I spoke to was even ruder. They dismissed my complaint and refused to consider changing the recipe or providing a refund. Their lack of professionalism and unwillingness to address my concerns left me appalled.
Moving on to the crab fried rice with added shrimp, which cost me $12. To my dismay, the shrimp they added was a single large shrimp sliced into small pieces. As for the crab, despite the additional charge, I couldn't find a single piece of it in the dish. The overall quality of the fried rice was subpar, lacking flavor and depth. It felt like a complete rip-off considering the price I paid.
Even the fried chicken wing was disappointing. It tasted old and lacked any seasoning or salt. The absence of flavor made it unappetizing and unenjoyable to eat.
As a business owner myself, I understand the challenges of finding good workers and providing excellent service. However, the service I received at Mosiac was shockingly unprofessional. I usually refrain from writing negative reviews, but the way I was treated compelled me to share my experience.
I remained polite and reasonable throughout my interactions until the very end, when I couldn't tolerate their rudeness any longer. I expressed my disappointment and informed them that I would be disputing the charge on my Amex. It is unacceptable for anyone to speak to customers in such a disrespectful manner.
In conclusion, my visit to MOSIACS was an extremely disappointing one. The excessively salty hot wings, lackluster crab fried rice, and old-tasting fried chicken, combined with the rude and unhelpful service, have left a lasting negative impression. I hope that the management of MOSIACS takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to provide better experiences for their customers...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant a couple of times in December first week. Once, there was no staff. The other time, the servers were new and had no idea about the menu. When asked about the vegan options, they kindly asked the chef but the chef's English was not good so we came back with complimentary coffee.
Response to the owner (No edit to the original review above):
It's interesting how deeply you have 'mis'analyzed my review and tried to tarnish my reputation with personal jibes. No wonder there was a sign on the restaurant, that it was available to be bought, just a couple of months back. I wish you had spent more time trying to find the actual issues with it.
First of all, It was your server who complained about the 'not good english' of the Chef, it was not my own remark. Obviously it's your right to serve whatever you want in your restaurant but it's my right to tell the world that there were no vegan options. Why did I expect any vegan options in a predominantly non-veg restaurant? I was a traveller staying at the Four points hotel and your restaurant was the only option for me to eat at 7 am those days. You make people go hungry instead of providing even the minimum facility of a scratch kitchen. That reminds me, where did I mention that I visited for dinner?
Second, please don't try to give unsolicited advice regarding how to do basic google search and how to read the menu. If you had spent the same effort trying to improve the restaurant, it would have better days.
PS: yes, the server was indeed very nice and did give me complimentary drip coffee, where have I complained about the server? As expected, you had no dairy-free milk options either.
PPS: thanks for the compliment...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE! Worst restaurant I have ever been in.
When we arrived the table was dirty which the waiter cleaned with his hand. A party of 5 of us then waited 30mins for anything ... I mean anything ... no menus, no water, no cutlery, zip. Eventually menus and water came and we ordered drinks and food.
My Moscow Mule looked and tasted like cheap fake lime juice with no discernible alcohol or ginger. Two sips and I couldn't drink anymore. Then it got worse...
After waiting about an hour the first dish arrived (yes, singular). Other dishes gradually came out every 15mins or so. The crab fried rice I ordered never arrived. Our waiter (who was obviously feeling bad and was trying to make an effort) eventually bought us a random bowl of noodles to eat. Another 30mins later the fried rice arrived and was revolting. Fried rice with barely any vegetables in it, no crab to be seen and then left under a heating lamp for long enough to dry out all the rice making it dry and chewy/crunchy. If we hadn't have been so hungry at that point I would have just returned it but we crunched our way through washing it down with water (probably the only thing that was decent).
Finishing up we desperately tried to get a servers attention to bus our table and bring the check. After 30mins we threatened to just leave so they finally brought the check. Not cheap ... AND ... the coup de grâce ... a 22% gratuity fee and a 3% Health Service free (that must have been for the stellar table cleaning).
All in all, I'm just glad nobody got food poisoning. The owners of this place should be ashamed. I believe it is part of the Sheraton so hopefully they...
