it's a little hard to believe that i had such a negative experience on my last visit but it was such a non issue that was blown out of proportion by the cashier and supervisor that it should've never happened. i had a $5 cash back coupon to scan because i have the costco credit card. i literally wanted to purchase 1 item and use the $5 coupon and then be on my way but it seemed as if i was a burden to the cashier as they saw me put down the 1 item and them asking me "is that it?" even before they finished helping the previous customer ahead of me. the cashier then scanned my item and wasn't able to scan the coupon on my phone for whatever reason. the cashier then got upset and told me to turn my brightness up (which it was) and they were huffing and puffing while attempting to scan my phone again. they then tried to manually type in the code but complained that they couldn't see the numbers and tried to make it like it was my fault. they then raised their voice and called for a supervisor for assistance which they then attempted to do the same process and it worked. the supervisor left before the transaction was completed and the cashier continued to eyeball me. i wish i would've kept that receipt or gotten their name to report them for terrible customer service.

This costco has the meanest employees. This morning, I was going there to buy some things I needed...but before going in, I just wanted to use the bathroom really quick. So I went straight to the "returns" door....when a guy quickly jumped after me and stopped me saying I have to go through the Entry and go through the store. Which to I replied: why can't I just go straight there to the bathroom first?? Then he scoffed at me and raised his voice telling me "we only let Executive Members in!! Let me see your card!!"....well I actually have been paying for my Executive Membership for over 12 years! He basically judged me, by my look of being a middle eastern/Balkan beige brown skinned bald guy and thought I was a poor schmuck or something. After he scanned my card and gave it back, I just walked in and he and his coworker ladies started laughing at me!! Out loud, making remarks! This guy, protects the precious doors of Costco like I'm some kind of terrorist...and when proven wrong he mocks me?? I'm getting a little tired of costco and their attitude! After all WE are paying THEM for the "privilege" to spend OUR money with them. Maybe it is time to quit costco....

Really nice experience every time I go there the people are extremely helpful there’s a lot of things to look at samples are back which is really cool also this is one of the few Costco‘s that they have self check out which makes everything very fast they don’t take cash at the self check out and I believe you can’t buy alcohol there either they have floral department bakery deli and a meat department everything looks super fresh and delicious Great wine and spirit collection I would recommend one thing the people who is in charge of self check out they need to relax a little bit not like we have never seen a self check out they’re a little pushy and act like if it’s first time using it. Maybe if somebody older they need help with that but younger people great chance they have used it before so just give us a little space to breathe.

The Costco store is awesome!... they have always done a great job at this location, carwash, gas station, returns, tires center, etc., are all five stars! This review is for one of the outside vendors that Costco insists on using and is harming their good name and repetition. Over the years we have dealt with different Costco outside vendors; Solar panel, HVAC, Dental coverage and autos insurance and I do not know who is in charge of picking these outside business but Costco needs to assess their process. I am going to explain one of the Costco vendors that we just recently encountered, which has caused me to write this review. REBORN CABINETS, INC. the encounter was weird, creepy, unprofessional and a waste of time...As we were leaving Costco we got approached by a very nice young lady and she asked us if we were interested in new cabinets, we are currently remodeling our kitchen so we were interested in what she had to say and in getting a quote. Knowing that Costco is a great company we agreed and gave our information to the polite young lady. Thinking we should give Costco a shot at this, they do everything else great. BIG mistake, these people at REBORN CABINETS, INC are not anywhere near Costco standards. Our first contact was over the phone with a rude REBORN CABINETS, INC. represented by the name "Anderson'', I think I really could not understand him that well either he had a strong accent or was pretending to have one. "Anderson'' was asking odd questions in a rude tone, if I own the home, (twice) if it was an apartment, if it was water damaged (twice), if I was going to give them 90 minutes to do the presentation. Kind of a hard sell tactic, pushy like a timeshare event. I almost ended it there, but again it's Costco they are always great. A few days later a sales Rep showed up on time at the house in an older truck, no big there but there were no license plates on the vehicle, no DMV tag in the window, kind of creepy. "Andrew" a man in his early 30's came to the door. I opened the door with my mask on and the first encounter was again almost a deal killer. Andrew had no mask on but showed me that he had one and said if I insisted he would put it on. I asked him to wear it and explained that we have a 90 woman in the house and we are being cautious and needed to protect her. He responded rudely by stating that he had, had his shots and did not think it was necessary.  He put on the mask and came in. The whole event took two hours, as he would drag out every topic, he spoke very slowly as if he was thinking one thing and saying another. I am not sure if he was on something or just odd, either way it was an uncomfortable experience to say the least. We were anticipating a normal person and a normal presentation on kitchen cabinet replacement. He gave us his personal view on education and other odd topics as he dragged out the presentation. Being polite we tried to end this encounter as soon as we could. After he gave us a quote for these space-aged cabinets of $59,875, which was nuts. We told him that we would think about it, just to end the event and asked him to leave. Slowly he gathered up his items and left... For us just a creepy event and glad it was over. We have been working with contractors for the past 8 months getting flooring, cabinet and painting quotes never have we had to deal with this type of odd experience. Cost-a-side these are Not Costco type people and I would not recommend them to anyone. After our encounter I did go to the REBORN CABINETS, INC, website and to no surprise found many disturbing reviews, in hindsight I should have none this first before booking the appointment. The whole setup seems like a con job and the creepy experience we had with "Andrew" in our home was enough for us, we are never going to be using another outside vendor from Costco again. Costco is a great company, but their selection in outside vendors needs to be improved upon. I think it damages their...

I went to Costco two days ago (saturday) and received the absolute worst customer service I have ever received. I went in around 11-12 in the afternoon to buy some fairlife protein shakes since I had run out and I was already using my moms costco card to get gas. When I approached the register I was greeted with a monotone “where your card" which was ok but then when the cashier looked at my mothers card She asked if I was the owner of the card since It didn't look like me and I told her it was my mothers. Immediately she started screaming "ok no it's one of you" and without even me being able to ask what she meant she was wailing “SERVICE” “SERVICE” too which I began to panic as a lady with a highlighter vest began to approach me. I took my card out of her hand which caused her to stop yelling and I said “You could have just handed me my card back and asked me to leave”. At this point the entire store is staring at me as she had caused a scene. While speaking to the service lady who was very respectful and said didn't do anything wrong, The cashier was yelling to have my moms card canceled. The service lady explained that they don't allow people to use each other's membership cards anymore and I just left. Did not receive an apology for being mistreated. I was looked at as a thief or a shoplifter as I had service members surrounding me and everyone was staring at me. It was very embarrassing especially when you live in a small town and people recognize each other. I have never stolen from a store before and I was being made out to look like a thief. At least I was able to buy a water bottle on my way out from the vending machine. I will be telling others about this experience and how horrible their customer service is. This was absolutely...

09.16.25 A quick update from my 2023 review - the attendant(s) at the car wash drive through is(are) great - always with a smile!

12 31 23. I was driving down from San Diego to Mission Viejo and decided to stop by one of the Costcos along the way. I googled Costco locations and Google map showed the prices of gas, too. Thank you Google!!!

It was four cents cheaper between Costco Carlsbad and Costco San Juan Capistrano - it would be my first time at either stops and decided on Capistrano location. I stopped by to cash my rewards certificate and decided to check out the aisles. I picked up a handful of items, checked out and totally forgot my rewards certificate so I had to go back. I stopped by membership and was shown to the merchandise pick up where supervisor was located. Overall good experience inside. I then filled up with gas and the pump stations has an option for automatic car wash when filling up - $7. It does provide the cost for car wash as option so no surprises. There's also one automatic machine to pull up to if one does not choose and pay for wash option in advance. I find the option to be straight car wash but I do like the car wash set up and it looks like a new car wash station. There's an attendant to guide driver at entrance. It's one of those auto car washes where one has to finish the rest, like wiping down some of the water droplets. Overall good experience. I'll be back to this Costco location and take advantage of the really good car wash feature. I don't know how crowded car wash gets but today was perfect timing for me. I probably wouldn't recommend this quick automatic car wash if your car is incredibly...
