Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, from 3 different clerks to store manager. Long drawn out scenario that involved my wanting to return some hair conditioner. No receiot, so I was given a gift card. Went to buy the product I liked, but had also purchased the same one yesterday. “Amaya” - so called floor manager - then flat out refused to return my cash for which a had a receipt…zero attempt to understand my situation. Basically, the expectation was that I’d have to drive back across town to retrieve the exact same product, because as this highly intelligent clerk stated to me, “This receipt is from yesterday…” I ended up wasting 3 hours and gas money for which TJ Max corporate compensated me for. As stated to me by the actual manager, Amaya’s reasoning for treating me this way was that, “I was playing games,” justifying the ignorance. Either very low IQ, or a power trip…either of which resulted in horrible customer service.TJ Max corporate agreed this should have been easily resolved then and there. Poor training equals potential for disgruntled customers. I offered my advice to the manager that when the approach is on “helping” their customers, rather than viewing them as criminals, trying to buck the system, these things should never happen. Read moreIf you have ever been in a TJ Maxx before, or a walmart clothes section, or any other clothing store where clothes are hung on racks all over the place, this store will be nothing new. Nothing particularly bad about it, but nothing spectacular. One good thing is how they do the checking out at the registers, it is very efficient. One bad thing is that many of the areas in the store tend to be cluttered and disorganized.
