My girlfriend and I were super excited to try this place, as we've heard good things. When we were there, there were 2 parties of two there including us, so I was hopeful for a fast, delicious meal. I got the Smashed and Shroomin' burger and my girlfriend got the Chick'n Chimmi. However, BOTH of our meals were MISSING ingredients. The Shroomin' burger is supposed to have grilled onions, balsamic drizzle, and garlic aioli, but they were missing. My sandwich was literally just a bun, 2 patties, cheese and mushrooms. No seasoning either. I'm not picky and was starving so I ate it. It wasn't bad, but like the other reviews state, it had little to no seasoning. The patties tasted bland. My girlfriend's chicken sandwich however was supposed to have arugula, cheese, and garlic aoli, but her sandwich was just bread, chimichurri, shredded LETTUCE, and chicken. Thankfully the chicken was cooked beautifully and was super juicy, otherwise it would have been extremely dry. Additionally, there were jalapenos on it! (What?) It was an entirely different sandwich. After notifying the cashier that both of our meals had missing ingredients, they responded with confusion and a "Hmm. Okay. I'll ask if we're out of any of those ingredients." No apology or offer to make things right. We weren't looking for any compensation whatsoever, but it seemed as the cashier wasn't interested in helping to fix their mistake. I only ordered my burger because of the balsamic glaze and onions, which I didn't even get. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll be coming back, which is sad because the atmosphere is super laid back and...
Read moreThe floor was sticky. The service was slow (nobody ahead of us in line, nobody behind the counter - they took their time). The tables were sticky. The service was slow (we asked for water and it came, eventually. Disposable cups and water in a bottle - wtf?). Again, almost nobody else in the place. The service was slow (it took longer to receive the order than I expected - frankly this part really does not bother me so much, but it just felt like par at this point). My order was wrong. They admitted it and fixed it, so .. great. The toast was greasy (fried, not toasted - and badly; also the "sourdough" bread had all the sour of wonderbread). The scrambled eggs were dry. The potatoes were from frozen. The ketchup we asked for was supplied in a disposable container. I got an actual fork an knife with my meal. My partner received a plastic fork.
This place is not a restaurant. It is a food truck masquerading as one. And that'd be OK if it were a good food truck - but it is not. We would not have stayed and eaten there except that we were pretty hungry and had our hearts set on trying something new. I have regretted it for the past 3 hours as the meal (which I did not finish) sat as a greasy lump...
Read moreWife and I ate here a few weeks ago. Was our first time. At the time they had a fairly extensive menu, and literally everything sounded so good. We got the filet mignon fries, the filet mignon Philly, and the black and blue filet mignon salad. The owner brought us each out a cup of complementary chili from Ribline next door (which he also owns), and it was fantastic. My favorite of the three items we ordered were the filet mignon fries, absolutely delicious; the red wine glaze really did it for me. As we were finishing our meal he brought us out a free piece of carrot cake (incidentally our favorite) because he said they hadn’t quite nailed down the recipe, but it was plenty good. I just wanted to make sure I posted a review for them, because all of the staff were exceptionally gracious, had amazing attitudes and service, and the idea of a rotating menu sounds really fun. We hope to be back soon to try the chicken karaage they said would be on the new menu....
