So, so sad how the associates are no longer upholding the Nordstrom Brand standards // This review is only for the women's lingerie department - only from Sunday 11/26/2023 around 3 pm ..... It was Black Friday weekend so I was hoping to restock my Chantelle bra collection - I admit, I am a plus sized girl -however, I am not a morbidly plus sized person, I still fit in the clothing/lingerie offered at this store, no problem...
Well, the sales ladies on the floor were useless - they cannot measure a client properly, they act like if you are a size 40 F that you are someone who cannot have a bra and that you have no option to buy one there AND then they leave the client in the dressing room ...... client (me) thinks sales associate is getting more options to try on for size.... after 10 minutes of waiting, I get dressed (decided I would just go online etc) The sales clerk is standing at a table folding a huge stack of gift boxes .... Like what!!??? she told me she was going to check the stock codes in the computer for me and come back.....
Glad I decided to just go online because she was folding boxes - her other colleague wore her cross body bag on shift like she was ready to leave any minute yet she was working?? and the 3rd associate was just as aloof (useless as the other 2)
I went home, googled how to measure for a bra - measured myself - went to Nordstrom online and found a great deal for 3 new Chantelle bras -

Read moreMy daughter was just fired (2/4/15) at Brass Plum in Hillsdale store #420 where she was a Fashion Board Intern. She is a minor and had school permission to work. She was fired after perhaps 6 months working “because she had missed 2 days where she had NOT been able to get another fashion Board Intern to cover her work hours”. She called/emailed in sick every time she had been sick over that time period but apparently 2 times she could not get anyone to cover for her. She had no written or verbal warning that she could be terminated for being out 2 days without arranging someone to cover her time. She walked into work and was fired right there on the spot. For a company that touts customer service and family owned company and this seems like it wouldn't reflect their company values. The fashion board is supposed to be training them and setting them up for the real world, when in reality you treat them unfairly and fire them without any warning, which I guess is the real world. This brings up a question is it Nordstrom policy that if you cannot work you have to get someone to cover you schedule? And if not are you terminated without any warning or notification? What if like in my daughter’s case she could not find anyone that wanted to work her slot was she to come to work sick? I would NOT want anyone with the flu or a cold waiting on me at any store would you? Perhaps because she is a minor this is the rule. Maybe someone can verify exactly what you policy and work...
Read moreI had the worst experience in the shoe department for Nordstrom at Hillsdale. First, off the new hires a younger Asian women and taller younger gentleman were class acts and super patient trying to resolve my shoe exchange. The shoes I got as a gift did not fit so I wanted a half size up (which Nordstrom should honor no matter what). My case was a bit trickier because they did not have my exact same color shoe, but I was open to them exchanging the same shoe in a different color. They didn’t have it in stock and would need to order the shoe to my door or for pickup.
After, the two younger newer employees tried helping me they called a manager who was an older Asian women who right off the bat seemed like she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She would not honor my exchange and said the friend who purchased the shoes needs to be present. Why would she need to be present if I want the same shoes but just a half size up? Do I need a chaperone or to waste my friends time further. The manager should be more accommodating to customers and definitely should not be in a manager role if she doesn’t know the simple principle of...
