On a recent visit, I encountered a slight hiccup with my membership details. In a situation that could have been frustrating, Alvin, Avis, and Mark stepped in and demonstrated what five-star customer service truly means. They were incredibly patient, understanding, and went above and beyond to swiftly resolve the mix-up. Their professionalism and genuine desire to ensure I had a positive experience were truly remarkable. One of the best hotpot restaurant around San Mateo. It is newly opened and located at Hillsdale mall. It is AYCE japanese style shabu house. It serve good to best quality of beef like A5 and also serve seafood. We made put ourself on waitlist on valentine day at 3 pm snd didn't get seated until almost 8:30 pm. When we are seated the server will immediately explain yo you the tier choices, there are 3 tiers, Silver, gold , and diamond where dusmond is the most expensive one almost $100. You can join yhe membership to get $10 of per person. I think if you are more than 2, the membership is worth. Gold include everything on silver plus something, same as diamond which includes whatever in gold and plus. We chose the gold one and for certain high quality meat you can only get one order per person. You also get appetizer and seafood platter. You aldo can choose bone Marrow, beef nigiri, beef tartar and shrimp. Looks like it is only once per table. You also get free flow of non alcohol drink. There is no alcohol available as I know. Our food was ready pretty quickly. You can some limited option of sauce. Don't expect to get dipping sauce choices like when you go to hotpot restaurant. It also has unlimited veggie which you can get yourself, raw egg for dipping. We ordered spicy mido and house broth. Both are good. The meat quality especially the one you can order one with our tier choice was so yummy. Our server was very friendly and keep coming to check. There is one temporary server which help our server while our server was in break. She was ok. I think may be she has to take care more tables and didn't pay attention to our table like adding more soup. At the end you can have icecream. I've been here twice and each time the meat tasted fresh and had great texture! Both times I went with their silver set. Their ribeye meat is super buttery! I'm not really a meat connoisseur, which is why I felt like the silver menu was good enough for me, but if the meat for silver is already so high quality, I'm sure their higher levels are even better!

The silver menu offers a seafood platter and you can ask to replace any items on their with the other seafood options of you don't like it. For us, we replaced the crab legs with more abalone. Each person is also allowed to choose one specialty dish. I've tried all of them and my favorite is either the waygu bone marrow or the wagyu nigiri. Their side dishes are also unlimited! I didn't order from their side dishes menu, so I can't comment on it.

They have a self-serve sauce bar, along with veggies and carbs (noodles). They also rotate out their self-serve small side dishes! They also have unlimited ice cream and drinks. Their ice cream flavors also get rotated out. Both times I came, there were different ice cream flavors and I usually like one of them or they're both a miss, so I would recommend saving ice cream for last towards the end. They offer milk tea along with plain tea. Their milk tea is VERY sweet so I usually mix it with some tea.

The service here is amazing. We have never had an empty plate on our table for long and the servers are very attentive. They offer soup refills too! My favorite soup bases are their spicy and house soup.
