This is THE store in Marin county where all the interior designers and high-end construction/remodeling companies to get their top-notch quality products besides many skilled “do-it-yourself” home/business owners. If you’ve been to this store, you may know they have so many variety of fixtures from door handles to bathroom fixtures in display. They even have Fusital (Valli&Valli, Italy) on display. There are trade-only full catalogs to look up the model number/code so you could order them on your own if they can't order it for you. I’m often asking a staff about some odd installation challenges or a specific need for an unusual part my “tinkering” project. They will patiently listen my project and to suggest a workaround or recommend another store nearby (or online) where I might find a part/solution that will work better. Everyone at the store have been the best parts of Jackson's. The employees really stand out far from others. They takes time with you and look for things with you and never rush. And we’ve been renting a weed wacker from Jacksons every spring to cut down overgrown weeds for a wildfire prevention. Finally moving out of the city and somehow attaining a backyard, my hunt for a new grill led me to Jackson’s as they are one of the few distributors of the brand I was interested in. From the moment I spoke to an associate on the phone, I knew I was working with qualified and passionate people. Chris was super knowledgeable and validated (as well as expanded) much of the prior research I had done online. Not pushy, yet professional and (again) passionate. My timing was fortunate as it lined up closely with their big annual sale. Since it was shaping up to be a larger purchase, they scheduled an early sale private shopping session for me before the official sale started. Older gent forgot to give me my receipt for a Dremel bit and Flitz in the tool area. As I left the alarm goes off. Some cashier tried to play tough calling me back into the store, so I humor him. This guy isn't together enough to speak to the older gent in the tool area and barks him over on the phone. My purchase is confirmed, I felt really bad for the old guy that had to hobble to the front. Tough guy, I didn't bother with, and left. I can see why people don't like this store. They should have continued dealing with tradespeople, they do not have it together to deal with the public.
