100% recommend! This farmers market has several vendors to check out. The variety is perfect, and the layout of the market makes it a breeze to walk through. You may see the Mayor, as he and his wife are often at this market comingling with others. And you'll value seeing familiar faces and friendly vendors every Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The best part?! After purchasing your locally made goods, you can easily walk over to the green space or seating area to relax. They have a pretty decent selection of tables, swinging benches, and rocking chairs. I often see individuals reading books, enjoying meals, having picnics, playing with their pets, practicing catch with their kids, etc.
If you have little ones, I'd recommend taking them along with you and packing their swimsuits because there is a nice splash pad here, too!
In addition, the bathrooms are clean, and they have family restrooms. There is a nice size stage area for entertainment. I love the landscaping and layout of the property as well! They have a parking garage or a 2-hour minimum street parking option. You'll appreciate the convenience of being able to walk to other businesses and fun things to do...
Read moreThe Sandy Spring Farmer's Market is located in front of the Sandy Spring City Hall. The security and cleanliness are very good, making it a quiet and pleasant place. Although it's not as large in scale as the Peachtree Farmer's Market, you can visit every stall to sample the products they offer. Among them, I highly recommend two shops, both operated out of vehicles and situated near the fountain.
One of them is a small light blue flower car, and the female owner who has a dog. While there aren't many flower varieties available, it's a case of rarity being valuable – they sell until they run out. The other shop always has a queue of people; it's a French bakery which is “Olde World Artisan Bread Co”. The friendly uncle always has a smile on his face as he introduces his products to customers. The bread is delicious. I personally highly recommend the Mini Quiche. The center is filled with lots of cheese, tangy tomatoes, and sprinkled with some savory seasonings – it's absolutely delicious.
Btw, the girl is playing the live music and her voice...
Read moreSandy Springs did a great job creating this destination city center. It's a really pretty spot. Definitely family friendly and suburban. Not super hip. But today I did score some lion's mane mushrooms and arugula microgreens and found a guy who will bring me basil in bulk next Saturday. Bagel people weren't there today unfortunately though. But I did get some really good bread from a baker selling out of a food truck. There are a lot of "home crafted" items for sale here too: purses, baby clothes, leather wallets, jewelry, etc... This farmer's market is definitely better than the Brookhaven one which, in my opinion, has really gone down in the last couple years. Again, pretty place. The live music can be hit or miss. Big green field to and I saw kids playing in the water features. Definitely worth...
