It was aight. It is a bakery and bistro sort of affair. It's not BAD by any means, but I don't recommend flying out of the way for it. The locale is crowded, but the actual store wasn't super busy when I went (mid day/early afternoon Sunday). I was able to find parking but I could've just had luck on my side this is ATL.
I ordered the French chicken sandwich with the salad as my side and an almond chocolate croissant. Chicken sandwich was cold so BE MINDFUL. Also they're serving it on a dummy thuick and crispy/crusty baguette. So I recommend getting a soup with it to balance out the temperature and moisture but that's just me. (Idk if the soup is good, but the food was solid so it shouldn't be too far off the mark) The almond chocolate croissant was solid. Easily best part of the bakery. They can do bread well here. If you only come by for one thing, grab one of those (or any other bread) and dip.
On to the weakest part. The sweet pastries (colorful ones, not the breads). I'm not super picky but none of it tasted...Good? It tasted like the default flavor of what this item "should" taste like, but it wasn't very expressive. Fruit tart was meh, Tiramisu was also meh. It was unremarkable. So unremarkable I didn't even take a picture of it. It all looked very good, but it doesn't taste nearly as good. Dont recommend this at all. I didn't drink any coffee which may have been my down fall as sometimes the desserts are made to be paired with the drinks and I acknowledge that here, but I feel it should stand its own two feet rather than need coffee to support it.
Overall an okay spot. You're paying for the ambiance, fresh bakery, and probably freshness of the ingredients (nothing tasted old!). Go in grab a plate or just some bread. But ignore the...
Read moreOne of my favorite breakfast is a good French breakfast so Café Vendôme in Sandy Springs was up next to check out on my breakfast list.
Let me start off with the good 😅 The place is spotless and neat, the music they play is A+ and the big painted wall on the background of an outdoor Cafe of what I assume to be in France is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious as well.
The issue I have with Cafe Vendome is the items you see pictured here, plus a chocolate croissant, almond croissant + tip was quite expensive... and I mean overly expensive. I don't mind paying for good food and a nice environment to eat my food in but it feels like they are high on cost just because of the area they are in. Because of this, although i would say I enjoyed their food, I can't say I'd go back or recommend anyone to go, unless you want to easily spend almost $100 on a few items.
@ddfmariettaroswell in Roswell is still my undisputed favorite French breakfast spot 🙌
Pictured here
Croque Monsieur - It was tasty but their choice of bread was not my favorite. A little on the dry side
Ham & Cheese Croissant - Their croissants are flaky and perfect. Very good
French Toast - GREAT French toast. I think maybe it was CHALLAH bread?
Cold and Iced Chai Teas

Read moreBEWARE!!! The owner of this place POCKETS the employees' credit card tips!!!! He claims he can run the shop better than the experienced baristas when all he does is talk. He will spend 10-15 mins talking instead and takes 20 mins to make a cappuccino. He claims to be a educated multilingual engineer just to gaslight his employees about his "successful" 7 years of business. He doesn't feed employees and only give them a 10% discount, which is less than $1 off their foods. EMPLOYEES here are overworked and underpaid! He schedules people on overtime and DOES NOT PAY OVERTIME, which is highly ILLEGAL! He never pays the employees on time and they have to start reporting him to the department of labor! He complains about not being able to afford the experienced baristas because he's cheap and doesn't want to pay, therefore, he hires unexperienced people in the service industry to work there. Orange juice is $14.50 PRE-TAX!! You can literally get fresh squeezed orange juice elsewhere for like $7-8. The music there is weird, always jumping from inappropriate songs like Tyla's "Water" to some random middle eastern songs. The employees are nice, but the owner will run this place to the ground! I'm surprised people fork out the money to even try this place. The house coffee is sour and the...
