Mrs. Jan and the ladies at Nimble Needle are fantastic. They are welcoming to both new and seasoned stitchers and are certainly accommodating to any budget. I love a bougie thread (straw silk is one of my faves!) but they also have practically the full line of DMC pearl cotton if that's what you prefer. The canvas selection is top notch and I love that it is a mix of traditional and more modern designs. I was so pleased with my experience at Nimble Needle! I inherited canvases from my mother’s extensive collection, and I walked into the store knowing very little about needlepoint - I just wanted to learn so I could finish my mom’s projects and feel close to her memory. The woman who helped me spent an hour with me, walking me through everything from thread selections to supplies to advice on stitching and where to find the best online tutorials. Some people say that Cheers is a place where “everyone knows your name.” For me, it’s the Nimble Needle. This is the place that not only where I go for finishing, thread, and supplies but the ladies feel like my people and they always push me to try new stitches and threads to advance my development as a crafter. Needlepoint isn’t just a hobby that I do while watching TV, but it’s so cool to meet people through the craft and NN has definitely facilitated that.
