As many of us age and reach our 40s you start to lose your hair. My problem areas were primarily the crown of my head and the area coming towards my hairline was not as thick as it use to be. I found JP Scalpworkx by me staying up late one night and seeing an infomercial about the process. I Googled for providers in Atlanta and from my phone conversation I could tell the owner, Justin Chamberlain, was very knowledgeable about this process. I was still somewhat skeptical because I felt like many of these hair procedures don't work well for Black Men but Justin proved me wrong. During my visit Justin was very professional and thorough in explaining the process. He listened to what I stated were my problem areas. After he finished the 1st session I could see a difference; however, Justin informed me to come back after a while to get a touch-up. After the 2nd visit I could not believe the transformation. I was thoroughly pleased and I can see that this process does indeed work for Black Men. Another great feature to the service is a free touch up within a year. This is a great feature because just like a tattoo, a touch up can enhance the foundation already done. When it was time for my touch up Justin informed me that due to scheduling his partner Justin Sardine could provide the service. I was a little worried because I did not know the quality of the work of "Justin 2.0". When I arrived Justin 2.0 was professional and very knowledgeable as well. During the process he was very detailed and patient as he paused at moments to get my feedback so that the end result would be a collaborative success. Once Justin 2.0 was finished I was in complete AMAZEMENT! This touch-up enhanced the look I already had even more. The finished product looked so good I actually stayed at the office about an extra 30 minutes just shocked that my once thinning head of hair looked so good. If anyone has thinning hair and is looking for a solution, I have NO RESERVATIONS in recommending JP Scalpworx. Justin & Justin 2.0 will definitely help you have a little more confidence about your look and make you just overall feel better when you step out into the world. With all this craziness going on with the violence in the world and a Global Pandemic we can ALL use something to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm so glad I got this done! Justin did a phenomenal job. He exceeded my expectations with how much coverage I got. It's an unbelievable number of little dots that I think pretty much touch each other all over my scalp. Justin for sure cares about the quality of what he's doing and is a perfectionist, which is really great when someone's essentially tattooing your head! He listens & has a very kind, patient, laid-back personality & strikes me as genuine & honest. I've struggled with hair thinning for several years & have used fibers & hair makeup etc for years to hide my shiny white scalp from showing through. I looked into micropigmentation awhile back but didn't think I'd actually ever do it.. but the maintenance & time I was spending on what I was doing was exhausting. I'm about 6 weeks out from my third & final micro session with Justin and I have been enjoying quick & easy showers & it's also easier to do my hair in the mornings or quickly put it up on the go. It's amazing not having to redo my scalp products every time I wash my hair, which took 30-45 minutes. It's also fantastic for the gym & as the weather is getting warmer, I'm looking forward to swimming being a different experience, because I haven't put my head under water in years. The procedure wasn't pain-free but it's not terrible & he can use a numbing gel which really helps. My scalp micropigmentation still looks exactly the same as it did the day I left his office. I've had zero fading and not any rejection that I can tell. My hair has actually been shedding less as well. I don't know if that's from the microneedling effect that stimulates circulation or what, but I'll take it. I wish I'd gotten this done years ago (tho the place I looked at at that time was more than twice as expensive.) If you have very thin dark hair & light skin & you hate how much of your scalp shows through & you're tired of whatever else you might be doing to cover it, I highly recommend scalp micropigmentation at Scalpworx. Thanks Justin!! :) (...I wish I could add pics but it's not giving me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me preface this by saying that I flew to Georgia from Taiwan, which is 16 hours of flight time, to get this procedure done. Also, it was Super Bowl weekend in Atlanta. Can you tell that balding was making me self-conscious yet?
I had a unique problem in the way that I had enough hair (Norwood 6) that a transplant wouldnāt be the best choice. My hair was too close, so a transplant could harm the existing hair follicles. I didnāt really have a problem with shaving, but it looked ugly because my skin would break out.
I looked at all of the options available to me; FUT, FUE, hair transplant, laser removal, multi-session SMP and single-session SMP ā- I even looked at the cost of getting the the SMP removed if I hated the results. Luckily, I wonāt have to worry about that.
I found Justin online and annoyed him to death with questions. Justin made the whole process easy. He took the time to make sure everything looked as great as possible. Heās just an all-around, good dude thatās passionate about doing his job. Thereās no agenda with him, and if youāre happy with being bald/balding, Iām sure heād just tell you to stick with it. I guess it just bothers some of us more than others, so if youāre in that boat with me, I consider this as the best option.
Iām posting some pictures here, but Iām sure you can find the others on his Facebook. Nobody can tell Iāve had it done, unless I mention it, of course. Iāll end with the only caveat it can be a bit uncomfortable having needles pinned into your head, but Iād do it again in...
