After being a regular client for 2 years, it’s time for me to look elsewhere. The last couple of visits I had were less than satisfactory. The first one was absolutely disastrous right before I literally had to head to the airport for a live stage performance the next day. I had to scramble to somehow get my hair redone at the last minute before my event. The next appointment I had was done at no charge to make up for the previous one, but it felt as such - it was quick and lacked attention to detail. I messaged my stylist about it, but never complained because it was my regular stylist. After all this history, I was still willing to give the salon a chance, but now I am no longer able to book online - with an unpredictable schedule, there have been several changes / cancellations in the past - but well in advance of their 24 hour policy out of consideration for my stylist. And I know these appointments almost instantly got booked up, because I was never able to get those slots if my schedule did open back up. I had spoken to the manager and explained the circumstances, and this error code was removed. After this, I had been out of the country and never used the system. Upon return, the error is back. Read moreWhen I first walked in, the receptionist was an absolute doll. She offered me tea and made sure I was comfortable. My stylist, Landri, was also a joy. When she washed my hair, the head massage she gave me made me forget my own name. It was that good. Not only was she funny and relatable, but she was attentive and a good listener. I wanted curtain bangs, and she worked with me a good deal to find the right length. I worried I was taking up too much of her time, but she was patient and it felt like we were working as a team. She told me that they also offer free bang trims so I can come in whenever I want to get them done. At the end, the receptionist brought me a packet for new customers. She had written my name in cursive across the front and decorated it. You can tell she had taken time with it. I felt like I had joined a special girls club. I booked online, and the process was seamless. They also have the tap to pay feature, which was super convenient. I will certainly be going back. Read moreI have gone to Kith and Kin several times, and after the situation I encountered today they will continue to always have my business. There was another client in the salon tonight that made me and every other client and stylist in the salon uncomfortable. This woman was entitled and thought she could tell every stylist in the salon what to do as if she owned the place. She was acting erratic and ended up screaming at a stylist who wasn’t even doing her son’s hair. The woman was incredibly unprofessional and irrational. The stylists and front desk staff members handled the situation in such a professional way. They were able to finish the client’s hair to his satisfaction while handling the outburst of his mom. They never engaged with her and instead dealt with her in a manner that made everyone else in the salon feel more comfortable.
