visited this store yesterday, May 27. 2024. I had just left Trader Joe's across the street when I realized had forgotten to get milk. I figured I'd run into Aldi as it tends to be less busier than TJ's. As I was entering the store at 5:52 PM I noticed the "Enter" door wasn't opening. I glanced at the store hours and it stated that they close at 8 PM so l assumed the door may have been broken. proceeded to walk through the "Exit door" as well as a few other customers, when a tall brown skin man with a soft somewhat feminine voice started to yell at me. He stated that they were closed, I stopped for a second because he threw me off guard when he yelled. He then proceeded to yell that they closed at 6 PM. Then it hit me that it was a holiday, so they closed earlier than usual. Before I could apologize and leave he started to yell again saying. "You knew we're closed that's why you walked in through the exit door, now goodbye you can leave! He continued his tirade until I just walked out of the store. A simple "Ma'am, we're closing earlier today due to it being Memorial Day" would've sufficed. I've never in my life been embarrassed this way! I've contacted corporate who assured me that they would address this on the store level. I would NEVER visit this store again and urge my family and friends...
Read moreJust shopped at this location for the first time. I absolutely LOVED the store, but I had the RUDEST cashier. His name is Xander, and I know that bc when I attempted to discreetly inquire about his name from another cashier, he stood up on his stool and yelled, “My name is Xander!!” I asked him not to place my item in the child seat area, but he ignored me and continued. So I placed my bag in the seat to prevent my purchased items from touching it bc poop—ICK. He purposely avoided my bag and continued loading around. He then said, Yeah I’m not gonna do that.” So I closed the seat. I moved my bag to the larger cart area trying to catch my groceries. He continued to drop items around my bag purposely avoiding it. I could describe more of our encounter, but you get the gist. Despite his attitude, I will return to this Aldi bc the store was clean and stocked. I might even go through Xander’s line again to see if he was just having a horrible day or if he lacks OTJ training or manners. But he could easily cost the company business if his customers service skills...
Read moreGreat prices & my hubby & I have loved everything we've bought (we've been shopping at Aldi for about 2 years). I actually start my shopping list at AldI & finish elsewhere. Our grocery bill has lowered so much without sacrificing food quality. I've seen so many reviews that the staff is rude at Aldi. I'm guessing that those customers are the rude ones because I've never had a rude employee - they have always been friendly & I've gotten to know some of them as they have me. Yes I have to put $0.25 to use a cart, but I get it back when I return the cart. Ummmmm less chances of runaway carts dinging my car!! And ok. Oooooh I actually have to bag my own groceries. Wow. My world may come to an end. ... not. Have you ever left a grocery store because the grocery bagger forgot to put something in your cart only to figure that out when you start to cook dinner & you have to drive back, stand in line for customer service with your receipt etc etc. Won't happen at Aldi because it's on you. IJS... love...
