Marshalls - Lake Mary: A Treasure Hunt for the Savvy Shopper Marshalls in Lake Mary, located at 3899 W. Lake Mary Blvd., offers the classic Marshalls experience: a thrilling hunt for designer brands and unique finds at discount prices. For those who enjoy sifting through racks and shelves, this location can be a real gem, making it a popular spot for local shoppers seeking value and variety. The Good: Great Deals & Variety: As with most Marshalls stores, you'll find a wide selection of clothing, accessories, shoes, beauty products, and home goods from various brands, often at significantly lower prices than traditional retail. This makes it a go-to for bargain hunters looking to refresh their wardrobe or home decor without breaking the bank. Organized for Off-Price: Compared to some other discount retailers, the Lake Mary Marshalls generally maintains a decent level of organization. While it's still an off-price store, the aisles are typically navigable, and sections are relatively well-defined, making your treasure hunt a bit less chaotic. Friendly Staff: Many shoppers report positive interactions with the staff, finding them to be helpful and friendly, which can enhance the overall shopping experience. Convenient Location: Situated in a busy retail area, the store is easily accessible with ample parking, making it a convenient stop for errands. Things to Consider: Inconsistent Inventory: The nature of Marshalls means inventory constantly rotates. What you find one day might be gone the next, and certain items or sizes can be hit or miss. This is part of the "treasure hunt" appeal, but it can also be frustrating if you're looking for something specific. Potential for Discrepancies: Like many discount stores, pricing errors or damaged merchandise can occasionally occur. It's always a good idea to double-check prices at the register and inspect items thoroughly before purchasing. Customer Service Challenges (Corporate vs. Store Level): While individual store staff tend to be friendly, some common complaints across the Marshalls brand relate to corporate customer service, particularly concerning online orders, returns, and handling of defective merchandise. It's best to resolve any issues directly at the store if possible. Fitting Room and Checkout Lines: During peak hours, fitting rooms can get busy, and checkout lines can be long. Patience is sometimes required. Overall: For Lake Mary residents and visitors who appreciate a good deal and enjoy the thrill of discovering unique items, the Marshalls in Lake Mary is a solid option. It delivers on the brand's promise of "brands that wow at prices that thrill." Just remember to go in with an open mind, be prepared for a bit of a hunt, and you're likely to walk away with some great finds. Hours: Monday-Sunday, 9:30...
Read moreUsually the associates at this store are great. Tonight however.. I am remodeling my home and came in after work one day to look around. This location had a huge selection of what I was looking for. I came back today after work to buy a few of those items. I was looking at kitchen utensils and a product I wanted to look at was on the back of the peg. I had to take off everything in front of it. Every other peg was full so I couldn't just hang the items on different pegs. I had put the stack of items on the floor. This is when Stephen T came out of the backroom and intrusively encroached my personal space by grabbing the items that were an inch or two from my feet. I am wearing a skirt which makes this even more invasive. I had told him that it was me who put the items there and that I would put them away. He threw the item down and stomped off while muttering incredibly rude comments about me. When he approached me he never guest serviced me, didnt make himself known to me. Didn't ask me if the items were mine. Nothing. I understand that it was 45 mins to close and everyone wants to go home but to get THAT close to someone without asking them or making themselves known to the guest is very inappropriate. What training are you providing staff for them to not know how to guest service or for them to think that this is okay!!!! I definitely feel violated and am grossed out. That doesn't even touch the surface to how I feel given the comments that were muttered as he walked away. I left the store SHAKING and cried in the parking lot for 30mins. No one should ever feel violated while shopping or have an associate mutter comments about you. It is never okay to treat someone with such disdain. I can understand that an associate would think I would leave the items there because others do but I was standing right there with the items directly at my feet. I can't imagine ever treating someone the way I was...
Read moreToday was not a positive experience at all. While I was calling for the manager for my issue another customer was needing the store manager today 4/5/21 as well, and I overheard her story. She went to the cashier coordinator Gloria to invoke her ADA reasonable accommodations which would be not to stand in line for her nonvisible disability and was told "we don't do that here". When she approached the manager she was told they have to address other customers who might get angry, and she needed to understand that her rights were being violated. This is an unacceptable response. The second concern I have with this store is I watched the gentleman at register 5 thoroughly sanitize his station after a customer. It was announced that register 3 was open. I peeked over, and she (another coordinator) was not cleaning her station after the last customer. So, I went to #5, and he indicated the 3 was on the other side. I completed my transactions, sanitized my hands, and watched the cashier take another customer on #3 without cleaning her station. This too is unacceptable, and when I brought it to Mgr Gloria she dismissed it as simply... I will take care of it. During this time when each of us is asked to do our part for the greater good, I am appalled when stores as large as Marshall are not fully training staff on ADA accommodations and...
