I recently had a problem with my PC that neither I, nor my techy roommates could figure out. I found Ricardo online and gave him a ring. He agreed to check it out. I have a desktop and was worried about carrying it to his office with a recent shoulder dislocation...no problem.. Ricardo helped me carry it from my truck to his office, a solid walk., one I would not have been able to do myself with a gimp limb. He checked out the computer and called me back with in 30 minutes with a diagnosis. After giving him the go ahead to fix the problem, he quickly found the new hardware online and gave me a 2nd call with the prices. He found me a good deal and ordered the replacement piece. Figuring it would be a while without a computer I was getting antsy to buy a new system...my current workstation was about 6 years old. I went and checked out new comps at best buy and was real close to buying a new $600 computer when they told me the one I wanted was sold out. This was a blessing in disguise. When I got home I got an unexpected call from Ricardo saying that my computer was fixed! This was 4-5 days earlier than he said it would be finished...I was stoked! As an electrical Engineer and a Tech consultant myself, I know what to look for in a good Tech. Sometimes I'm working on other big projects and need to outsource some work I get. -Ricardo answered my call and patiently listened to me, and let me explain the problem with the computer (Laptop). -When I brought the laptop in to Ricardo's office, he immediately focused on helping me diagnose the problem(s) with the laptop. -Ricardo was very Professional and empathetic to my plight. -I informed Ricardo that I needed to get the PC repaired and back to me as soon as possible. He gave me a fair and realistic time frame of when I could expect to get the computer back. -Ricardo told me some of the things he planned to do to repair the laptop. -Ricardo texted/called me with regular updates letting me know the status of the repair. -When I came back to the office to p/u the computer, Ricardo gave me a brief rundown of what the problem was, and listed the tasks he did to fix/repair the laptop. -Ricardo gave me an Invoice with the pertinent info on it. When I called and let the tech know I was outside he immediately took to me with a serious attitude. I informed him that for some reason I was directed to 309 Micheltorena instead of 903 state and instead of simply re directing me (which I’m SURE this mix up has happened before being that the names and addresses are both very similar) he begins to just repeat himself yelling almost like a child “903 state 903 state 903 state” I work with people for a living and this is NOT how you treat potential customers. I refuse to let people speak to me in this aggravated manor so I immediately told him he lost a client before abruptly hanging up on me. Plus side, is if his business reflects the way he speaks to other people I just missed a close call on what would have probably been a complete and total scam and waste of money.
