Anybody not at Four Star Tattoo is asleep at the wheel!
My fella and I walked in after going to Meow Wolf and it was instantly awesome. The artists are real craftspeople at work, and it's like watching chefs in the kitchen with how they flow. Pick something, listen to their advice and the tattoo will come out better than it looked in your head. My husband and I were tattooed by Patrick and are thrilled with the results.
Besides getting a new tattoo, half the fun is spending time in the shop! It's like a parlor with dope people hanging out and sharing stories. A refreshing note to my gal pals too: this is the type of studio that I'd feel totally comfortable getting tattooed on the more private areas as well without creeper vibes, so if you want something on your jiggly parts go ahead and hang them thangs! Patrick and Cameron were the two artists in the shop when I was there, and they struck me as the type of dudes who protect the pit so the girls can slam dance and have fun too. (And a global shout out to these shred lords: we salute you!)
Get off the internet and go get inked. I would volunteer to cage fight anyone who does not give this shop the love and respect it has earned. Just kidding, but seriously, "It's 5 stars at Four Star Tattoo!"...
Read moreMy wife and I reached out to four star tattoo via their website to schedule an anniversary date while visiting from pagosa springs, co. They did so with ease; of course I was open to whomever was available with faith it’d work out based on the reviews. Noah stepped in and absolutely nailed it from start to finish.
My wife and my intention were to get a tattoo, by the same artist, that represents our relationship. We tasked Noah with my wife’s cross pendant she was gifted at her confirmation by her grandmother. That I was choosing as my second tattoo.
Needless to say I was anxious with excitement, and a tremendous sense of responsibility, tattooing such a meaningful and tangible expression of love on my forearm.
Noah handled the commission like a professional. His demeanor was welcoming and supportive. He genuinely seeks to understand to ensure that the experience is one that sticks with you, literally.
Thank you Noah for being a huge part...

Contacted owner who agreed to fix it, but when confronted with it being messed up he said it "was perfect" and that I was a control freak for being upset that my design had changed during the touch up. He didn't apologize, he was a bit rude, but he did make it look a tiny bit better for free. But like he said: "There isn't much I can do."
As my first tattoo- I was mortified by this experience. "I get it that it's your body and that you'll have to live with it for the rest of your life, but you need to let go and stop trying to be perfect."
Sure I want to be close to perfection with my tattoo, who wouldn't? But I was more angry about the actual design being changed without consulting me during the process.
Ink is for life- and they don't seem to take seriously or are even emphatic about the mistakes they make...
