Seret & Sons — Local services in Santa Fe

I look forward every summer to traveling to Sante Fe and shopping at Seret and Sons and of course seeing Ira and Himal. I have customed ordered many things, left with my car completely full and have never had an issue throughout the years. Just this month - I customed ordered many items and arranged to have some items brought to me by their freight company.

Unfortunately, last year my 83 year old Father fell ill while traveling thru Sante Fe. Ira and his staff arranged for us to stay at their hotel - right on the spot. Our room had everything my dad could want and more!! They called to check on him as well. They took very good care of us during this medical crisis.

We’ve incorporated a few pieces of the beautifully carved wood panels from Seret & Sons. A handful of the hand carved basketweave panels were used to create a kitchen floating cabinet and the accompanying island cabinets.

A large temple door was wall mounted utilizing a custom steel frame. The door isn’t only a commanding artistic piece but also serves as an operational entry door to a hidden mechanical room.

Another carved panel was used for a powder room ceiling. Lighting was recessed in the top to provide an indirect glow which gave dimension in the rooms small footprint.

The owner of this business is very rude and disrespectful. If you walk in his store, he will give you the once over and if he feels like you can't afford anything in there he will act like you are in the way. He will not make you feel welcome. He followed me around as if I was going to steal something. After being in there for only 2 minutes and him standing right next to me and watching me while I was looking at some items in a locked cabinet all the while he us eyeing me with his arms crossed, I decided to leave. I said to one of the workers that I was leaving because I felt like I was being a bother when the owner pointed to the door and said "you can get out there". I will never walk in that store again.
