Red River Mercantile — Local services in Santa Fe

Who would think that I (a woman) could have spent close to an hour in a men's apparel / accessories store ... but I did. It was more fun than all the other merchants I visited last weekend in Santa Fe! Steve was so fascinating to learn from, and, after my husband joined me again, he was gracious enough to repeat the stories of where products were from and how they came about. Thank you, Steve. I love the pencils...he loves his new wallet, and we're ordering a Dop kit from the Colonel...

My partner really wanted to visit this store on our trip to Sante Fe, and now I know why! Steve has a thoughtfully curated selection of quality goods and knows so much about everything in his store. We had great conversation about clothes, small goods, bags, and even hikes and restaurant recommendations. I felt like I could’ve spent an entire afternoon in this store - everything in here was incredible quality and my style. I will definitely be coming back here on my next visit...

First off, this was a great store, full of wonderful, high quality products. But second, I didn’t actually buy anything in this trip, however, the owner took the time to write down companies that might have what I was looking for. I was looking for a very specific type of leather shoulder bag. He had great options, but he wasn’t worried about selling me something so much as he was about me finding what I really wanted. Top notch. Would definitely recommend for quality...
