ONLY REASON this store gets a 5 star is because of ERNIE. I wish every walmart had an Ernie employee. Dude comes to work with a good attitude and is friendly. If he sees you in an aisle he greets you and asks to help.
The Bad: as usual Brosnan security is BIASED towards RVers. We get circled anytime we go (which is daily since we meal plan day to day). We like to switch up our parking and amuse ourselves with how Brosnan security tries to nonchalantly cruise by constantly. We're here DAILY and leave DAILY. Shoo fly don't bother me. We get it - with the excessive signage posted - no overnight parking.
What I don't get: Wal-Mart: kick out all the homeless, even those barely lingering on property just trying to survive in the shade of the minimal trees. Also Wal-Mart: ALLOW SOLICITORS SHOVING BUCKETS IN CUSTOMERS FACES STATING THEY'RE HERE TO HELP/HOUSE THE HOMELESS RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOORS. While we watch security call cops on the homeless. Yes, some are drugged up. But they're still a piece of the community. And they need help and have nowhere to go.
Wal-Mart: look at all our banners and posters stating how we help our community. Also Wal-mart: but only the middle class and up. We'll help Tina go to summer camp but f*ck the homeless and drug addled.
In Carlsbad NM I watched Wal-Mart employees have to dump BOXES AND BOXES of "bad" fruit/veg and deli food in a dumpster.
Why are convenient stores donating deli food to food pantries but Wal-Mart is trashing it (in locked dumpsters so the starving can't even dumpster dive).
Wal-Mart doesn't care about the community unless its the part of the community that spends its paycheck daily at their store.
Wal-Mart doesn't donate their "bad" food. Imagine if Wal-Mart had a stand they opened at the end of the day that handed out "bad" food to the starving. Instead of treating every customer like thieves they helped feed those that can't afford food. Maybe the theft rate would go down. But there's no money to be...
Read moreI went today to get a flu shot but the pharmacy was closed for lunch, so I decided to do a little shopping. I had decided to get my flu shot at Walmart because we received our Covid vaccines from their pharmacies and it was such a positive experience. I found the Dawn soap on my own and there was a woman stocking the shelves and I asked her where the small flashlights were and she pointed down the isle and said they were in sporting goods. I wondered through that area and could not find them. Then I approached another sales associate and waited patiently for her to conclude her transaction with another customer. She saw that I was waiting but proceeded to walk right past me when she was finished with the other customer. I asked her as she was passing if she knew where the flashlights were and she gave me the same information. She had been helping a customer get something out of a locked case. I finally did find the flashlights and, they too, were in a locked case. I'm sure that she knew that I would have required her assistance but instead of telling me to wait for her so that she could assist me, she dismissed me. I would say hello to other sales associates and was ignored. It was such an unpleasant experience. Thankfully, there are other options to shopping at Walmart. It is not particularly clean, nor well organized, or friendly. I was reading some of the previous reviews and they are pretty terrible. I'm glad that I am not alone, but it just confirms what I have always thought about Walmart - they are just in it for the money, could care less about the people that shop there and I would bet it is not a great place to work, if the attitude and behavior of their employees are any indication. Loved the old mom and pop stores of the past. They cared about their neighbors. These corporate giants are dispassionate and ruthless. If ever there was a time we needed kindness and compassion, it is now. Will be spending my money somewhere else. Not worth the time or...
Read moreThe WORST customer service i have EVER encountered in my entire life! And I am solely referring to management....The front end mgr or CSM, "Customer Service Manager" My teen son and I were relocating from Albuquerque to Colorado and decided to take a few days to see Santa Fe (mostly for educational purposes). Before leaving ABQ, I bought each of us new luggage at Walmart - which was janky at best and gave me nothing but trouble the entire train/bus trip from ABQ to SF!!! Once we check into our hotel in SF, I inspect this hassle of a suit case, and I conclude that the case is rendered unusable once it is bearing weight!! Which I packed it with ab. 97% clothing, so it was not overloaded! Anywhoo..... I needed a better than Walmart case, so I planned to have my card credited at WM for janky case and buy a new one at Ross. Ok so I arrive at this store, I'm at returns desk where the woman scans my receipt (yes, i had my receipt, it was less than a week old), then suitcase, then informs me that she is not allowed to refund/return/exchange anything over $25, when it is from DIFFERENT store!! Whaaaat!? I said, "No, thit is unacceptable get me a manager"!. Moments later a CSM came and I informed her that I NEEDED a new case, we are tourists- we are not from here!!. But she was rude, beyond unsympathetic, and I could be wrong but she seemed to be enjoying her role in all of this. Then she confirmed that was their policy. So, i asked for the store manager, and she informed me that THEY DO NOT HAVE A STORE MANAGER!! How can you not have a manager!? Anyway, moral here is this store is bad!! God...
