I am new to making jewelry and have recently decided to give it a try. I did a search on the Internet for jewelers supplies and SFJS was one businesses that caught my eye. So, while on a recent trip to Santa Fe I decided to stop by SFJS to purchase a few items and to ask some questions about the materials I wanted to buy. I must say I was amazed by the selection of tools and supplies that SFJS stocks. Just about everything you could want is in their store. I rate it outstanding!
More importantly I wish to commend SFJS for how they handle customers. Their policy is that once they begin working with you, whether you are a new to jewelry making or a professional, they stay with you until your order is complete and you have been checked out. That is how it should be. A great way to handle customers.
I am sure that my lack of knowledge was on display as I know very little about making jewelry but the staff of SFJS took their time with me and assured me that there was no such thing as a dumb question. All of my questions were answered and I felt like the staff really cared that I received the information that would get me started on this new creative journey.
In any business it is the staff that makes it shine and at SFJS the staff is "Golden" in my opinion. Thanks for treating me with respect and making me feel comfortable in your store.
I live in Dallas, Texas and there is no jewelry supply store that comes close to what SFJS offers in the way of supplies and customer service. I highly...
Read moreI'm a long time patron at SFJS. I'm happy with having a true local family owned jewelry supply in our small town. I was in the store when the previous reviewer AZ Tex became upset as he found out he needed a number to be waited on after waiting for a few minutes (10?). I felt bad the guy didn't know the system, however, there is a sign on the wall that says "Take a Number to be Served" with a ticket dispenser mounted above it at the front counter. Yeah, he's right the workers weren't very interactive to a new customer waiting for some eye contact and attention to his order. They were focused on the people they were already waiting on like they are supposed to be. It's a cool store and I'm grateful for it being open. Meets my local needs when you can't wait a day on shipping and they have something no...
Read moreUPDATE** SFJS is under new ownership and they are LOVELY! My experience today was 180 degrees from my previous two experiences. The staff was WONDERFUL, and not just to me. I observed each staff member treating customers with kindness and patience. I was helped by a very knowledgeable, patient, and sweet young person. They are now open on Saturdays (hopefully this lasts)! Overall outstanding experience and great prices. Hallelujah ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ———————————————————————————— lol. Just when I thought SFJS couldn’t be worse. They think they’re a bank, seriously 9-5 M-F?! Apparently they only cater to professional jewelers. Rude staff, bankers hours…nah, folks head on down to Thunderbird in Albuquerque. Last time I’ll ever even...
