1) super sticky table 2) enchilada plate swimming in a puddle of oil 3) unconcerned waiting staff 4) warm tortillas that were literally breaking off like they were pieces of hard toast/bars of chocolate (pics attached) I saw the reviews and the stars and thought it would be a great idea. We came to get some lunch for dine-in. Our table was super sticky... we didn't even want to put our elbows on it, let alone eat food on it. We brought it up with staff who came over and washed it over a wet hand towel... or so we thought. We were horrified as a staff member got a dark-colored rag, wet it in what essentially looked like one of those plastic tubs used for mopping floors (it was on top of a small bench near the bar), and used it in an attempt to clear off the table of stickiness. It was somewhat effective, but we were really suspicious of what that water might be. We then got our food. Approximately 15% of the Chile Rellenos was burned. The parts that were burned were charred black, too hard to really cut into. We removed those sections. The remaining unburned, normal portions were pretty bland. Perhaps I should have expected it to some degree, but the enchilada plate was decent enchilada swimming in a literal puddle of oil. I mean, the oil was deep enough to be poured out just by tipping the plate a little bit. By normal jostling and moving of the plate, the underside of it (and hence the part of the tabletop it was sitting on top of) was dripping with oil. So after a few bites of the enchilada plate I set it aside to make it obvious I wasn't interested and we started sharing the rellenos. I flagged down staff and asked for a to-go container (this was only around 5~ minutes into being served the meal). Tried letting the staff member know that it was way too oily but he was already gone to get a container before I could even start asking the question. I promptly got a to-go container, no questions asked... 5 minutes into the meal. We also got the check by this time as well, also no questions asked. As we finished up the rellenos we realized that the sad bucket of water (remember the mopping bucket-looking thing I mentioned above?) was actually being repeatedly used for all the hand towels - they were squeezing the used water from these towels back into that same bucket after they used it for wiping off dirty tables. Nearly threw up after seeing that. Here's a couple pictures of the enchiladas that I was talking about, with its half centimeter-deep pool of oil.

I had this place a few years ago and the breakfast burrito was so dang good that I had to go again when I came into town! This time I had the tamale plate which was filled with flavor. I topped them with their green Chile sauce which was the perfect combination. My boyfriend had the bean burrito with both red and green sauce and it was gone shortly after he received it. The only disappointing part was there were no chips and salsa given to us which is what you expect when you go to a Mexican food restaurant. The red sauce did not have the best flavor and the rice was so bland we had to get it removed from the bill. However, I would still recommend this place because both entrees I’ve eaten there have been delicious. If I still remember their burrito from years ago, then this place clearly has something going for them!

This was a weird experience. Our waiter was odd but funny. He was the only good part of it. The food was awful it had no flavor what so ever. I think the beans were canned and it was just all around awul. Except the sopapillas. I had their strawberry margarita. It ended up making me feel really sick it tasted like pure salt and maybe the strawberry was bad or something but it tasted sour. Worst of all we get our bill give them our card. When he comes back he said the manager added two dollars on for salsa. I know it was two dollars but it's very upsetting to be told it'll be this I give my card and then get charged something else. Extremely untrusting and just upsetting. But I did like that there red chili actually was a little spicy just needs seasoning everything needed seasoning.

The breakfast burrito with ham, smothered in red and green chili (Christmas) was one of the best my husband ever had! For those not familiar with the red and green chili in New Mexico, they are 2 distinct chili tastes. To try both, order it Christmas style so you can try both the red and the green chili. The burrito is stuffed with ham, potatoes, and egg, all smothered in the red and green chili (red on one half, green on the other). The red was flavorful and a bit spicy and good. The green was moderate spice and has an entirely different flavor profile. Recommend try both. I had hard shell chicken tacos were were some of the best I have had. Shells stuffed with juicy, slightly seasoned white meat shredded chicken, with lettuce and sparse tomatoes (could use more tomatoes on top) and a side of sour cream. Plate came with beans and rice on the side which were good but the tacos were the star. The chips were fresh and the salsa was spicy (had chili seeds in it so it was spicy). Husband loved it as he prefers spucy. I prefer mild to medium so a pass on the salsa for me. The sopapillas were huge, fluffy, and oh so good. Honey on table in a squeeze bottle. Our waiter was so attentive and shared local information on places to go. He talked us into dessert sopapillas (haha, we can’t resist sopapillas here as they were just so good) which were covered in cinnamon and sugar with butter, a little whipped cream on the side. I thought about licking the plate they were so good! Highly recommend this local restaurant!! We...

Waited about an hour and received food that was clearly sitting out for a while. Had 9 people with us, and only about two plates actually looked like it was coocked within the hour, and all the food was virtually flavorless. The waiter was unatentive and was high as a kyte and definitely on some sort of drug. Was brought out the toppings for the food but was missing the main portion. The guests around us were served about 30 minutes and had finished before we received anything. Service was bad. Be prepared to wait a while before getting a lunch meal for dinner. The waiter left our table when we were trying to get the check he mixed up everything even when we told him whos check was there printed out the checks had the whole table help him well he went to go attend to another table of 9 leaving us to still wait and figure out everything. Their food was brought out within 20 minuets of their arrival. The manager lady there didn't even know what was going on and had to redo everyone's ticket, and that took about 20 minutes just to figure out what was going on. By the time we paid and left, our original waitress finally returned when we walked out the door. Also the plate was warm but the food was cold, there was a claim the chef's remade dishes from messing up several times but the quality was not up to the claims with all the food looking like it sat on the warmer for at least 30 minuets. Also, hides a tip into the bill just in case you don't read your receipt. I felt overcharged as did the...
