Lucky Penny General Store — Local services in Santa Monica

This store was a big disappointment to us. The lady was just a store employee, she said she was not the owner. I felt sorry for the owner because she was rude and not very helpful to the customers. We saw the price tag, it was displayed for $15/$25, my female friend asked her, how much is this dress. She said $32.00, obviously something was not right. It seem as if it doesn't matter what the price tag showed. Then, we continue checking out other items. All of a sudden she said that is $25.00, we did not ask her for the price. OMG, we felt very uncomfortable, we thank her, and rush out the store. If we are in Santa Monica area again, we will not...

The Lucky Penny General Store is my go-to place to buy gifts for friends and family. They have everything from home decor, kitchen, personal trinkets, jewelry, childrens, etc! You can always find SOMETHING no matter the occasion. I love coming here to see all the fun and funky new things they have. This store has so many unique gifts from Beyoncé candles to Taylor swift birthday cards, I’m so happy I found this place! Honesty with so many little gift in Santa Monica that are gimmicky and mass produced this is definitely a hidden gem… no I mean they also sell gemstones and crystals here. Claudia was very sweet and when she saw me picking a birthday card she asked if the items I was buying were gifts as well, and she wrapped them up for me. Really cute store with kind people...
