The Candy Bar — Local services in Santa Rosa Beach

I have been in Seaside the past few days with my boyfriend and have had a great time! Tonight around 7:45 we went into Candy Bar and both my boyfriend and I were blown away. Whenever I go to a new town I always drag my boyfriend to the local candy shop, however I have never seen one so clean and organized. On top of the extreme large selection of candy I also got to talk to Tanner, who showed us some of her favorite candies and helped us out so much!!! No more samples — what the hell? I even asked the cashier how come, since they used to offer them. The cashier just said, ‘When?’ On top of that, the scoops weren’t even full, the ice cream seemed different from our last visit, and all 5 flavors we bought just tasted like sugar. We’re not being nitpicky, but for the cost, we expect better portions, better flavor, and better service. The cashier’s rude attitude made the experience even worse. What happened? This used to be a good place. We are not coming...

The pricing here is criminal. No receipt was given and nothing was priced, but we paid $65 for candy that should’ve cost us $20 max. I was shocked at the price gouging for candy that costs a dollar right down the road at Publix. The candy is what you find at the gas station, nothing unique or special. I’m all for supporting small businesses and expected to pay a bit more, but this was insane. Plenty of other local businesses to support instead...
