Sadly if I could give zero stars I would. My son and I went into the Target in Codding Town in Santa Rosa Calif. We needed to exchange some toothbrush heads we had purchased the day before and replace them with the correct ones. We went to the customer service desk. There were three different employees going in and out of the customer service area but none of them acknowledged us. We waited for 8 minutes before I asked one of these employees if there was anyone that would be able to help us with the exchange. She said "yes so sorry for the wait" and then she walked away. We waited for several more minutes and a you women who had previously ignored us walked up and said "ill help you here" we walked up to the counter and told her what we needed to do. Her name was Seaiera and she just looked at us and said nothing. I asked her what we needed to do and she was incredibly rude and very short when she said I can give you a gift card or put the money back on the card. I said we don't want money back we just need to exchange the packages. She looked at me (never ever smiled or acted friendly in any way) she said I told you I can give you cash or credit the card! She was argumentative and intentionally vague . when we said we will take cash since that was an option that she didn't origanally give us but said she could do it. I did explain to her that we were just going to give the money right back to her for the product we wanted. She was so rude that I asked her if she hated her job and she said "no just customers like you" I asked for her name and walked away. This experience will keep me from going back...

I like target for the most part. They can be a bit pricy but the quality is good. I however, am not too happy abt their return policy. I purchased a jacket from their active wear department, and the zipper kept breaking. Because they didnt carry the item any longer I was only able to return it for 10bucks instead of the whopping 35 bucks I originally paid for it. They had similar jackets there from the same line and wouldn't even give me a sale price for it. I was very upset as I have spent several thousands of dollars at Target the past few years.
Also, I purchased a defective toy, and came back with the receipt and although I paid cash and had never used the toy, but because it was past the return period I wasn't able to get my cash back and was forced to buy from their store although I found the perfect toy at another store that wasn't a Target chain.
This company is a multi-billion dollar company. They can afford to have a better return policy than this, ESPECIALLY with those that have proof of purchase and a receipt no matter how long. Some times we purchase things in advance for Christmas, birthdays, or just because our little one will like it once he/she is a bit older; and if it DOESN'T work out we would like to try something else.
Just something to...
