I have been to lunch and dinner here may times but this wi be my last . I met a friend for lunch and ordered the SEA FOOD RICE BOWL and I woofed it down as it was my first meal of the day. I drank 3 glasses of water payed the bil and was out of there by 1:45. Went to a meeting g scheduled at my office and was fi ishing up some paper work on my computer and around 3:30 I very strange feeling came over me. I instantly got hot and dizzy and nauseated. Barely made it to my office bathroom only to spend the ext 3 hours getting violently sick coming out of both ends of my body. It was as bad if not worse then any time I've ever been sick even at sea. I felt like dieing and in my head I new it was food poisoning. I finally got the courage to drive myself home around 8:00 pm. A dear friend called to report this to the staff and was told by the hostess that was impossible and shrugged it off. I fear others had this experience based on the owners of this place have 2 other seafood type plcaes in Montgometey villiage.i do plan to follow up on this with management and file a complaint with the heath department. Depending on how I am treated will determine my next move.i hope that nobody else has had to suffer this experience.i will say after this I will never eat or recommend this or any of there places again. PS I did call the on duty nurse at Kaiser and based on all my data it was determined to be...
Read moreI love the name of the place. I brought my family here and it was a kid friendly place, lots of noise but not over the top - which was great! Our waitress was so kind and funny -she was from Thailand which is always a good sign that the place is authentic. The receptionist -although very beautiful, was not welcoming and not a warm presence. I've been in the restaurant business for years and the front receptionist is everything as far as representing the beginning vibes of the place. Honestly the food was OK, not exceptional. What was the most disappointing was the PadThai. We ordered it as it is a signature Thai dish. It was dry and the pork was overcooked too. One of the most basic dishes and it just didn't deliver. The curry soup also had way too much coconut milk and not enough "zing" to the flavor. The chicken satay was also past cooked, no juicy flavor. When looking around the main clientele was white folks, so I think the chef and restaurant is trying to cater to that, which is smart, but the flavor was way too bland, dry & not even as good as a cheaper Thai place. The presentation of the food was beautiful, but the actual flavor thumbs down. The ambience was beautiful and the art is very nice, but the food just wasn't exceptional. So I give it...
Read moreMost importantly, the food is delicious. We have eaten here countless times and the dishes are always rich in flavor with copious servings. I will say that the service could be better. It is not that the staff aren't pleasant, but it is consistently impersonal with a base level of friendliness. We try not to think much of it because we enjoy the food so much but I was motivated to leave a review after our last experience. The restaurant closes at 8:30 and we arrived at 8:10. That is probably not ideal but we immediately felt that we were holding up the staff as they prepared to leave for the day. Before our entrees arrived, we were asked if we wanted dessert because the kitchen was going to close. The whole experience felt rushed and we were not taking our sweet time because we were aware of the hour. Because we have been there so many times, I feel comfortable saying that it feels like service is not the number one priority. Yes it is fast, and the staff members aren't rude at all, but that's not high praise when it comes to service. I worked in a restaurant for years and was taught to really focus on the customers' satisfaction. SEA Noodle Bar does a lot of things right but they could turn up the charm a little and be...
