Came to this restaurant after work and was delighted to see an enormous arch of blue and white balloons at the entrance. Walking up close I heard the familiar sound of Greek music from inside. Door opens what do I see people on either side eating, smiling, and laughing. Having a great time, without hesitation I had my order pre loaded and ready? Lamb gyro and Lukumades! Sat down bobbing my head to the music and before I knew it Gyro encompassing half , yes HALF!!! of the basket and the rest Nick’s Fries what a glorious sight to see, I wasted no time and on first bite I felt like I was in Greece again so authentic, so perfect to the taste. Like a kid in a candy store, for that moment a gyro fueled wave of euphoria washed over my entire soul. I couldn’t tell you what the text 5 minutes was like I was lost in this flavor storm and came to when it was consumed. Picture of the perfect presentation of the Pita is not included because I thought of it after the fact However I can bless you with this image of what can only be described as Midas’s Lukumades. Golden Grecian style doughnut holes, glistened and boiled and drizzled with honey of the gods and dashed with cinnamon and crushed nuts over the top. At that moment Bob Ross could have painted a Happy little Greek on his canvases. This Food is so good I can not rave enough about...

This restaurant is new in town. Well used to be right here was Baskin-Robbins which sometime ago moved next to whole foods instead. I'd say that so far Nick the Greek has done well since opening on August 16th.

I haven't had the pleasure of being a customer here as of yet but I've come here to pick up doordash orders as that is my job as I've been working doordash for 4 years, and every time I go there the order is always finished before I even arrive. I really appreciate that. I think most restaurants do try to have the order done before I arrive or have it done before my scheduled pickup time, but some restaurants seem to always put doordash at the bottom of the list and it always feels like it's my order they always waste extremely long times with, but with this restaurant I go in and they just hand me the order because they finished it before I arrived because they want to get everything done on time and they respect my time.

I will say I haven't had Greek food very much in my life but I've had Greek food before and I highly enjoy it and I will someday try out this place...

Stopped here while on vacation with my family. We initially were going to stop at a bigger chain located right next door and decided to try something new. The first day we went in and ordered, we asked a lot of questions and the cashier girls were very nice and accommodating. We decided to stop back again before we made the drive back home and it was a different experience. The girl the 2nd time was extremely rude and dismissive to the point where the girl from the day before was making faces behind her apologetically. I asked about certain substitutions on an item and she stated that corporate wouldn't allow them to "change the recipe" although they had allowed it just a day or 2 before. The rude girl working the register went on break and the nice girl from the day before was the one to hand me our order and she seemed very apologetic and even offered us a couple sauces and water cups. The food is very tasty although the meat portions are small and the souvlaki meat tasted very plain or unmarinated. Would have been a better rating had it not been for the rude...

I had lunch with a friend at the Grand Opening and we were blown away at the quality, taste and amount of food that was served. There were at least 40-50 people waiting in line and yet the food was still being prepared quickly and served efficiently. I had the lamb bowl which was full of fresh veges, French fries perfectly cooked with a salad and my friend had the Falafel pita. In the 35 years I’ve known her, never has she finished a meal but she ate every bite. She said this meal was as good as the best Greek restaurant she had eaten at in Australia and there are many excellent Greek restaurants so that was saying a lot! The owners were outside welcoming everybody that was waiting in line and checking with many diners to see how their meal was - this is going to be a successful restaurant with attentive owners like this!

Excellent. We've been to three different Nick the Greek stores now and this one has the best food (others were in Napa and San Jose). Grand opening was only 5 days ago, and the kitchen was full of trainees. We are hoping that the best chefs stay in Santa Rosa. Okay, all three were excellent, but this was moreso. My gyro and salad were perfect. Sometimes a Greek salad is hard to pick up with a fork, but not here; it was solid and easy to eat. The gyro was packed with meat and veggies, and a few fries. Not sure if I prefer the sandwich with or without seasoned fries, but this was a pretty good introduction. Ever since moving up from San Diego a year ago, we've been searching for a Greek place that comes close to our favorite back there. Nick the Greek could well be our go-to Greek restaurant in the Bay Area.
