The stone in my wife's earrings came loose from the setting. Took them to Friends to have it re-set and inspect the other one to make sure they are both secure. They told me it would take a week. It took 3x longer. When I looked them over after I picked them up, I found the diamond was still loose in the setting. Went back to the store and with my confidence in the jeweler compromised, I got my money back. I took them to another local jeweler and he informed me that setting was not done properly (obviously), the earring is full of tool marks and there was a crack in the setting (missed/or caused by friends). The new jeweler was quite aware of Friends jeweler. He said he has known him for more than 20 years and told me he was "burned out" and ready to retire. This might actually be the absolute best jewelry store for so many reasons here in Sarasota Florida... I've been going there for decades and they always have a solution for my jewelry... Whether it's buying new... Repairing what I have or just simply cleaning all my gold so it looks sparkly and shiny again... Very kind loving family ownership... Beautiful jewelry. A few years ago, I bought beautiful earrings 'Water-Mellon' pink and green. About five years ago I bought a watch and a year ago I didn't get a battery or broken so I was in town and checked out the old watch. I think I would have to buy another watch, but the owner said he would look at the old one that was in my old purse, and I was going to throw it out. The owner checked the old one. Eight minutes later the jeweler gave me the original watch and fixed it and looks like it was years ago. No charge because the jeweler Friend's Jewelers made the watch and put a new battery and cleaned up....
