I’m editing my first review to say that the store manager called me directly and apologized for everything that happened and also sent me a $200 gift card in the mail. I appreciate that she followed up and cared about customer satisfaction.
Firstly, I had no idea that Saks charges for alterations on clothing bought from them. $1000 suits, $500-900 sport coats and they still charge you to alter them. That being said, has little to nothing to do with my poor review. My husband and I went into the Waterside store to have two sport coats and a suit altered. We did NO shopping while at the store and we were there an hour. The gentleman (Eddie) that took the measurements for the alterations was very pleasant and quick. The woman (Joey) that had to ring us up (because you pre-pay for the alterations) could not get the information entered into the computer correctly, kept messing up the tickets, had to call Eddie back to the counter to rewrite the tickets. Then, in the confusion, the second suit ticket was mis-marked and would have been altered wrong had I not caught it. After over a half hour jerking around with the check out counter we voided the alteration tickets, took two of our items and left. Unfortunately I have to go back in to pick up one of the sports coats. I cannot tell you how unprofessional and idiotic the whole situation was. And this is supposed to be a...
Read moreMy experience with Saks was incredibly frustrating. I accidentally purchased the wrong size Eton dress shirts at the Saks store while on vacation in Miami on June 22nd. I then ordered the correct size through the Saks online store on June 26th. I attempted to return the original items through Saks Off Fifth, which is the only Saks location within 100 miles of my home address; they refused to accept the return. I attempted to call the Saks store in Miami during regular business hours; they did not answer the phone after waiting on the line for 42 minutes. I emailed my store receipt to Saks Fifth Avenue Customer Service and the agent offered to set up a FedEx pickup on Tuesday, July 11th. FedEx did not come on July 11th. When FedEx came on July 12th, they said they had no shipping label and no knowledge of the scheduled pickup. I again attempted to reach Saks Fifth Avenue customer service and was told they could no longer help with the return. They connected me with an Saks Fifth Avenue store in Naples FL which also refused to help. I have now spent nearly 4 hours on the phone trying to return these items. After this experience, I will never shop at Saks Fifth Avenue again. Buyer beware, you cannot return your items through the online store or a Saks Off...
Read moreWe are new to Naples and frequent Saks shoppers.
I finally got out the house with my friend and my 3 month year old baby to get my partner a new Peter Milar shirt for Christmas. When we got to the counter Mary Jo was gift wrapping a previous purchase but came around to see the baby and touched his feet. I, tired, disheveled and happy to see gift wrapping was an option, asked if I too could have my purchase wrapped.
She said “no, that woman comes here every year to buy something for her son so I do that for her but I can give you a box and ribbon” I was kind of confused … so I just said “yes, that would be great!”
I put the unassembled box and ribbon in the saks bag and put it under the tree the same way she gave it to me. I thought it would nice for William to open something rather than dig around in a bag.. but atleast I can tell this story while he fumbles through the tissue paper 🤣
Editing to share that William bought a gift for me from Saks yesterday and his gift was wrapped without him even asking.
We both discussed our multiple saks experiences here in Naples and are less than impressed with the attitudes...
