WRITTEN BY MY WIFE! I DO AGREE THOUGH! Long post,
I just went to Sunflower Market on Lime. I cannot express enough how much I saved by going there. The store is fantastic, clean and stocked to the brim. My family can actually afford to eat âclean & healthyâ going there and to get things we used to love that we have been foregoing.
If you have EBT you can get produce and vegetables for free, it is right on the front door!!!
Every name brand you can imagine at 50-60% off. The produce is so fresh- no bottom of the barrel here, it looks like Publix produce. The dairy section is stocked and so cheap. Oatly oatmilk and organic cows milk for $2.49 each, each would cost at least $4.99 elsewhere. Huge tub of Organic probiotic yogurt for $2.49. Large eggs were $3.99, organic eggs were $4.99. Snack food selection is so vast- kids snacks, regular snacks, healthy & organic, niche, to âjunk foodâ and it is all extremely cheap. Freezer section is stocked and so many options- meats and fish, frozen dinners and breakfast, sides, veggies, fruits, snacks, desserts, etc. Locally baked bread and bagels for $3 or name brand bread for $1.99. Teas and juices for ¢99 to $2, all name brands. Deli meats, cheeses, cold snacks for $3 and under.
Items for baking, vegan items, plant based, breakfast foods, cereal, condiments, spices, from scratch cooking items, canned goods, organic, etc! They have every name brand dirt cheap, Iâm talking $3 and under.
They have homewares, cleaning supplies, personal care, pet items, toys, medicine. Everything you can think of. I saw nothing over $5 and that is really on the high end.
If youâve been struggling with grocery inflation like our family has, this store is so unbelievably helpful. We so desperately needed something like this in our area. I feel like I wonât have to penny pinch nearly as much anymore and can now buy things that I stopped buying to save...
Read moreUpdate to this review, as per follow up... the owner thought it was wise to leave a snarky response and embellish about expired food, molded hair products, and odd (worm đ)looking things in old Valentin Chocolate, as I was trying to avoid that info! But since I got no apologies but a smart A....response of telling me your staff are thanking me for wasting my hard earned money at your store, as they enjoy maggots! Tell them I said BonappeMaggot! and thanks for telling me how pleased your customers are in reviews, why this lady just only 4 months ago gave you raving reviews as well on her stale and expired products, don't seem like you asked her for an investigation you sucked up to her right away with ease, I know what my hair products look like as I purchase them often , your hair gel container was full with brown mold in it both jars!! As I said I spent over 60 bucks not looking at each jar carefully but no instead of offering apologies you try to play me off as a liar and reply snarky Thanks for showing customers how you respond to problems at your store You should be Kind and handle it better not provoke them and taunt with sending wise A comments!
It seems they mostly carry expired food, my entire shopping bag was filled with expired food, the Valentin Chocolate heart was the last straw as it had strange white things growing from pieces I purchased over 60 bucks in hair products and they had visible brown mold clear as day, why would they stick that, due to that experience I don't trust and will...
Read moreTalk about affordable!! Most of whatever you purchase from here should be consumed within a day or two. You also need to do your homework and be a savvy shopper. Like understand what expiration dates/ sell by/ use by really mean to the product or packaging etc. Then know what to overlook and you have some really great deals.
They have a sweet program for EBT users and they make it SUPER easy! You can earn a dollar match on groceries for fresh produce up to $10 per visit! Itâs like free fruits and veggies! Let them know you have an Ebt card , put your grocery items first.
For example: Letâs say you need to purchase some grocery non produce items like, spices, eggs, milk, snacks, maybe some Frozen meat⌠thatâs like $10, use your ebt first for those items and then they match your spend and load up to $10 in the FAB card and thennn you ring up your produce. Then use your FAB card with the loaded amount. If itâs the amount you have accrued to your fab card, you pay nothing else! Who ever owns this store deserves a big hug and a high-five for helping people with lower means to survive with their...
