my friends and i were in rhis five below and we were being teenagers. being unserious yet respectful. said thanks to the employees and we were being kind of loud but still respectful. we cleaned up after ourselves and went about our shopping. then, my friend A; was trying to get the attention of my other friend and LIGHTLY tapped her on the head with a pillow. this employee came up to her, told her to put the pillow back and then leave. We were very confused and shocked but still followed directions. my friend tried to put the pillow back and then the employee said “ goodness gracious just put the pillow down.” Super super rude. We leave the store and as we walk out we hear her scoff. I understand seeing something and miss understanding something but the way she handled this was super rude, uncalled for and very very disrespectful. this store is directed towards teens but yet when some teens are there they are super rude. she could have taken this a different way. so i gave this store a 1 for the experience and the cleanliness. super...
Read moreI stopped in this store today to browse while waiting for an appointment, and what I witnessed shocked me.
A customer walked around to look at posters when a staff member abruptly said, “Uh ma’am, we have this area blocked off. You’ll need to move.” The way it was said was incredibly rude—and the area clearly wasn’t blocked off, since we were able to walk through it.
I even said “Seriously?!” to one of the managers who was standing nearby, but he just ignored me. The staff were older, clearly management, yet chose to act dismissively instead of respectfully. That’s no way to treat customers—especially when I overheard employees at the front end talking about how this location might be closing.
On top of that, the store is a mess and very disorganized. Between the poor attitude and the condition of the store, I won’t be returning to this location. I truly hope administration takes a hard look at how customers are being...
Read moreI really like this store. Don’t get me wrong sometimes it’s messy and everything, but the workers truly try there best to do what they can. Yes, it might be a little messy or unorganized but sometimes they can’t control that. I’ve seen one girl having to fold the T-shirt wall three times in one day just so it could look presentable for customers and even when those who took the t-shirts off and wrinkled them back into the wall she asked if there was a specific shirt they were looking for or if she could help them with anything. Me personally knowing what that’s like is a great way to talk to customers. She was very caring and sweet and even would help when you could tell she was kind of frustrated. I definitely appreciate Five Below because of the prices, products, and friendly staff. I know sometimes places can’t always be kept...
