I recently ordered delivery from the newly opened Teriyaki Madness in Saratoga Springs, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Two of the items I ordered were missing from my delivery. When I called to address the issue, I was repeatedly asked for my name instead of simply looking up the order using the order number or phone number. This added unnecessary frustration to the situation.
One major issue is the lack of a contact number on their website for customers who need to resolve order issues. This forces customers to resort to calling the store directly, which, in my case, led to a frustrating interaction. After going back and forth without any resolution, I eventually hung up because it wasn’t worth my time to continue pursuing the missing items.
As for the food that did arrive, it was disappointing. The flavor was average at best. I didn’t order vegetables with my dish, expecting a larger portion of chicken, but instead received a small portion of chicken that didn’t justify the $12 price tag. The other dish I ordered, which did include vegetables, was also underwhelming—most of the vegetables were inedible, and the broccoli pieces were tiny.
For a new restaurant in the area, you would expect them to go above and beyond to meet customer expectations and establish a positive reputation. Unfortunately, they did nothing to win my future business. This review isn’t just a one-off; I’ve noticed that other customers have had similar negative experiences in the short time they’ve been open.
In summary, I lost a few dollars, but they’ve lost much more by failing to secure repeat customers. I rarely write reviews, but I felt others should be aware not to expect much from this restaurant. It’s not a great start when a new business already has bad reviews just days...
Read moreWe were looking forward to trying this new place. My hubby saw the FB advertisement for $6 bowls so he went to pick up some bowls for dinner to bring home. Sadly, my bowl was charged the full price because I wanted to try the spicy chicken?? And since I don't like rice in general, my hubby got me noodles, which was an additional $2 upgrade charge even though their menu said $1. In addition, the spicy meat wasn't saucy to try with my noodles so they wanted to charge an extra $.75 for spicy sauce, which he declined since my bowl was now over double the price he expected to pay. The pros: The portion was great. And the spicy chicken was truly delicious! It had great favor even though it was sauce-less. The cons: What's up with every Chinese/ Japanese/Asian restaurant giving you filler cabbage? I was looking forward to the "vegetables" because I love zucchini and broccoli. I only got 3 broccoli florets, 4 zucchini sliced halves, a few shredded carrots mixed in, and the rest was cabbage. It's such a turn off. 85% of the vegetable section of the meal being cabbage. I took a picture of the cabbage I placed on the bowl lid. All that cabbage only came from my bowl. Disappointing. The noodles were plain and I probably would have enjoyed them better mixed with broccoli, zucchini and sauce tbh. I tried the normal free teriyaki sauce with my meal and I'm not sure they gave my husband teriyaki sauce. It only tasted like soy sauce, so maybe thats what they only give away? My hubby felt nickel and dimed asking for spicy chicken instead of original, noodles instead of rice, and asking for a side of spicy sauce since there was none on the spicy chicken. Sad. I...
Read moreUpdating review due to my experience tonight. Short hair girl at the register tonight was the absolute rudest employee I’ve ever came across. She was upset we we there mins before closing it was absolutely ridiculous, she immediately walked to the girls in the kitchen where I over heard them say yes we need to take their order.. she was visibly upset she had to do her job. She asked me what I wanted like 3 times in a very demeaning tone. I couldn’t take it and told her she did not need to be rude to me, the girl in charge tonight was standing behind her I fear this is often an issue and she told her to go to the back and she’d continue to take my order the girl angrily walked out the restaurant and the girls in the kitchen were extremely apologetic and did everything to make it right I give them 5 stars, I will not be returning until I know she’s no longer employed there’s honestly no excuse for that kind of behavior when she came back inside even the people beside us expressed how awkward tonight’s encounter was I felt extremely uneasy around her she ended up leaving as we left and said she either quit or was leaving for the night because of her uncontrolled rage. It seems like she works there because she knows someone but sorry not the kind of person to...
