Seven Brothers Burgers — Restaurant in Saratoga Springs

Inferior onion rings and potato rounds plus a chaotic restaurant space dropped a star from this otherwise-solid burger joint.

Saratoga is still a land of mega-chains, so it’s always nice to see something local-ish (even a chain) in the area. The menu offers a number of burgers, most of which offer some hint of the chain’s Hawaiian roots. I ordered a burger with onion rings and a few other toppings. The combos come with fries. I tried to sub a shake for a drink and was told that was not an option-disappointing. The service was fine but nothing special. The floor was super slick between the cash register and the drinks. The soda options were lacking and a few were out when I was there…thank goodness they had root beer! The walk to the soda was made even weirder by the fact it felt like I was walking through an employee area. There were stacks of containers and such and I did a double take before confirming this was indeed the front of the restaurant and where I was supposed to walk.

My burger arrived pretty quickly. The burgers with toppings are huge. I pulled one of my two onion rings off to make the burger more easily edible. The onion rings I had both used the end of the onion-the part that’s really hard to cut through and therefore hard to chew through. The rest of the burger was good although dominated by BBQ sauce I wasn’t amazed with. The fries were plentiful-I tossed half-but inconsistent. I don’t like potato rounds to begin with but only some of these were of a desirable texture. Maybe that’s why they give so many, so you can choose your desired done-ness and...

As I walked towards the place I was thinking, "Please don't be anything like 5 guys". They obliged.

The food was too plentiful, and delicious. I got the Spencer, which has jalapenos, bacon, etc. It was very good. The onion ring had to come off the burger or I'd never have managed to get the sandwich in my mouth. Halfway through the burger, I thought, "I can't really taste the burger with all this other goodness on it." So I pulled out a chunk of just the meat. That's a burger that could stand on it's own. Yum, baby, yum!

I also got a small order of crazy fries. If there are two of you, still probably get the small. I didn't even make it through half of them. But I liked that they brought them out before the burger.

The staff all seemed amazing. The girl who took my order was delightful and knew her stuff. There was a young man whose way I kept getting into, and he was very swet about it. And then there's Hayden. When he brought out my burger, I had questions. Hayden had answers. He knows about the family behind the food, he knows about the food. But smiles and enthusiasm abound with this young man. He seems to be quite proud of working here. (As a matter of fact, all the staff seemed happy to be here.) I hope Hayden's boss knows what s fantastic employee he's got in Hayden.

And clean. While I was eating, one of the guys came out and wiped down tables. And seats. Then Hayden came and gathered trash of the floor from all the kids that had just left. Then someone swept.

Well... the wife made me do it... We wanted a burger, but not a McBurger, or anything else like that. We are working late and wanted something new and different. The staff was incredible, the service was topnotch, and most of all the food tasted fresh. 7 brothers captures a flare of elegance. My recommendation... Go and try! I had he Paniolo, burger was stacked! The tase was better than the visual, and the visual was intense! Quantity is more than enough, and I am a big guy, When a time is that portions are getting smaller and prices are getting bigger, I found the price for the combo more than fair. I also dared with the Paniolo Fry. This was a huge slice of WOW! SO the fries are not your typical sticks. Look up the menu for a good pic. In my pics they are smothered and covered. Perfect! I loved everything that I had tonight, no there wasn't a toy in a box, and no there wasn't a 'value' menu. This was an awesome meal! I recommend this location, tis food, and this little treasure. We are fortunate that we have one so close to this location. Lastly, the young lady behind the counter, Lindsey, super helpful, answered all sorts of questions, and asked us the basics. Another Perfect! Overall, I am full, the family is full, we are not broke, and we feel like we found a new top quality location. One downfall. I did not expect that much food, WE didn't get a chance to finish all our fries. Mine were gone, because, well I am Dad. Thank you Seven Brothers, read your story, and felt at...
