My oldest (10 year old) son loves graphic novels and had been asking me to get him some real comic books. I found Neighborhood Comics through an online search and we visited their store. I could not have asked for a better first time ‘comic book store’ experience. Lee was so friendly and knowledgeable. He interacted so well with my sons and they thoroughly enjoyed “talking superheros” with him. He was very helpful to me as a parent in knowing which books would be appropriate for my children. He even helped them find issues on the exact characters they requested. This was the case even for a character my son asked about that I did not consider a “known by everyone” character, but Lee found him several books to choose from. Their collection is well organized and the staff are so so nice. I've been to a lot of comic stores and often times ones with a huge collection that covers a store from floor to ceiling can overwhelm me. Neighborhood Comics is definitely not a small collection, but I appreciate the curated selection and layout. It makes it easy for me to find something I'm interested in, which I always do, without spending hours browsing.
