I've had the pleasure of calling Matadora Apartments home for the past year, and I can confidently say that it has been an exceptional living experience. From top-notch maintenance to well-thought-out floor planning, Matadora Apartments truly stands out as an amazing place to live. One of the standout features of Matadora Apartments is the exceptional maintenance service. The maintenance team here is prompt, efficient, and always ready to address any issues that may arise. Whether it's a minor repair or a major concern, they tackle it with a sense of urgency and professionalism that's truly commendable. It's reassuring to know that you can count on them to keep the building in top-notch condition, making living here worry-free. Another aspect that I absolutely love about Matadora Apartments is the thoughtful floor planning. The layouts of the apartments are well-designed, maximizing space utilization and comfort. The open-concept living areas create a sense of spaciousness, and the attention to detail in the design is evident. Whether you're a single professional, a couple, or a small family, you'll find that these apartments offer both functionality and aesthetics. The well-appointed kitchens and bathrooms are modern and stylish, making everyday living a pleasure. Do not apply to live at the Matadora Apartments... they have questionable business morals and ethics. If I could give them a lower rating I would. Also do your research into their parent company, they own Skylark, Alice Hall, and The Bowery Apartment buildings as well.

The application process for The Matadora is a pit of extra fees and deceitful responses to your questions. The manager, Ms. Lark, was a disappointment to communicate with from the beginning. All her responses to our questions were slow, vague and anything but transparent because we hadn't officially applied. Once my wife applied the lack of transparency continued. For Example: they are happy to tell you the parking fees but don't want to disclose that there are 83 apartments and only 40 parking spaces... Good luck parking with that ratio! They are happy to show you pictures of the large balcony that you'll have but won't tell you that the balcony is directly over the asphalt parking lot. That should be nice and steaming hot during the summer... what an amenity! Nauseating deception at every turn.

Through the course of their email conversation Ms. Lark put my name on the application which, unannounced to us, added another application fee... all of which is non refundable! I never submitted or signed any application... it was solely the process of the management adding my name to the list of residents that introduced the fee. Fast forward a few months and now I'm receiving harassing calls from debt collectors for an unpaid application fee on an application that I never submitted or signed.

Thankfully, I can't speak to the experience of living at the Matadora... sure the flashy website and pictures look good, but the people that you'll be dealing with have questionable business ethics. I can only imagine that the resident turnover here is very high. Good luck if you choose to rest...

I've been fortunate enough to call Matadora my home for the past two years (I am on of the OG residences), I can't say enough about the incredible experience I've had here. From the moment I walked thorough the double doors, I was greeted with an inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel like part of this community.

The amenities offered here are top-notch! Whether I'm looking to stay active in the gym, relax at the spa, or gather my friends in the rooftop, there is always something to cater my needs. The attention of detail in each space is truly remarkable!

A significant part of what makes this place exceptional is the building manager - Shattrel. Her dedication to creating a comfortable and enjoyable living environment is evident. She is available to address any concerns, answer questions, and organize community events that foster a sense of camaraderie among residents.

I also must give a shout-out to the handyman on-site - Victor. Maintenance requests are attended to promptly, and the handyman's skill and professionalism are truly remarkable.

I would say the only thing I would love to see more, would be security cameras scattered around the building - like in the elevator, corridors and back area. Once this is attended to this building will be hard to leave!
