Pilates For The People has been an absolute lifeline for me, and I truly can't express enough how much I appreciate this studio and the wonderful people who run it.
I've tried so many practices over the years to get myself active, reduce stress, and lose weight - personal training, F45, local gyms, HIIT, yoga, a slew of home workouts - you name it. Pilates is by far my personal favorite and I'm hooked for life.
I'm currently taking three classes a week using my Founder membership, which fits perfectly into my budget - and every single session has been worth it. One of my favorite things about this studio is how every class feels fresh: each instructor brings their own style while still helping you achieve amazing, consistent results.
I especially can't recommend taking classes with Marina and Jen enough. I've worked with them the longest, and their kindness, humor, and expert guidance have made a huge difference for me. I genuinely look forward to every session with them.
The studio itself is beautiful - fully equipped with Cadillac reformers, chairs, and everything you need to get the most out of your workout. Itās always clean and thoughtfully organized. There are cubbies for your belongings, filtered water, a spotless restroom, and even some merch available.
With only 8 spots per class, you get plenty of personal attention, and the instructors are great at making real-time corrections to help you improve safely.
There's a variety of classes on the schedule, and I mostly stick to morning sessions, but they offer classes throughout the day. Personally, I love the Therapeutic Reformer Pilates - Level 1 twice a week - it gets me moving and sweating without overexerting myself - and the Principles Reformer Pilates - All Levels class once a week, which gets my blood pumping and gives me a great full-body (and mostly core) workout without leaving me wiped out for days.
With my health condition, limited time, and resources, Pilates For The People filled a huge void in my life after Starland Pilates closed. Itās been exactly what I needed.
As a bonus, itās in a great spot - right on Bull Street with easy street parking if you arrive about 5-10 minutes early. Plus, it's next to Henny Penny if you want to grab coffee, tea, or a bite before or after class.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had never done reformer pilates before, only ever mat at home but have always been involved with weight lifting and running. With an autoimmune condition, it can be hard to get into the gym without putting myself into a flare but pilates has given me a wonderful low impact workout. I was worried it wouldnāt be āenoughā for me but it has been, especially with the customizable springs. Everyone at the studio is so so sweet and welcoming and truly do everything they can to make sure youāre getting what you need from the workouts. Could not recommend...
