Absolutely do not recommend Bobs! We walked into the store in South Portland Maine to purchase a sofa. We went in a couple different times because we were narrowing down our options between 2 at Bobs and 2 at another store. We finally decided to go with one of the options at Bobs. A female saleswoman looked at another co worker and said “don’t bother with them, they don’t have any money and have been in here a couple of times and never buy”. I wanted to walk out then, and should have! However, my husband said no we just won’t deal with her. So we went to the sofa we wanted and another rep approached and we discussed about this sofa and coverage. We purchased a sofa and after 1 year the reclining/charging ports stopped working. We also had purchased the “Goof Proof” protection. This is after the salesman guaranteed it would cover everything we asked about. The charging ports, the recliners, motors, and many others. The answer was “yes” to all. Not only were we disrespected, insulted, lied to, discriminated against, and are out a couple thousand of dollars, here we are two years later with a couch that doesn’t work. We have made a claim with Guardian. Denied. The couch is a total loss and goof for five years of coverage a complete waste. The recliners do not work. The charging ports for our electronics do not work. The stitching is separating, the padding is oozing out at the seams. The faux leather is peeling and exposing the under layers. Any time I have contacted customer service they transfer me back and forth to the same departments and are very rude and told me “nothing we can do, deal with it”. I even made the claim for the “implied warranty” and was told that the paperwork is “fake” and “does not apply to Bobs Discount Furniture”. I asked for corporates phone numbers and a good address, was told they are not “required to provide that information”. One rep hung up on me. I have called the Scarborough store and have waited on hold for 1 hour just for someone to pick up and hang up without speaking. Called back and recording claimed the “store is closed, please call back during normal business hours”. It was in the middle of the day on a Wednesday, Friday and any other day I have called. I have made a claim multiple times for all the issues and have been denied every time. Even with my contract claiming in writing it is a “covered” issue. Do not buy from here! Do NOT purchase the Goof Proof! Currently after researching my many options I have learned about the NUMEROUS lawsuits against the company. I will not...

Professionalism is not a priority, Went in today with my cousin. And the entire time we were there for about a half hour at most, we were followed. The second we walked through the door a woman with a white. Sweatshirt button up shirt blonde hair puut up in a bun immediately. Immediately decided decided to follow us around the entire store. We were over by the kitchen tables and I noticed she started coming up behind us.I looked at her and told her we were all set.Thank you turned around and proceeded to look around my cousin.Then explained we were window shopping.To see what we wanted for our apartment we are getting soon. We can continue to talk all the way around too. Where they have the tree area. And I know that she was still behind us at a distance. And decided to go into the discounted furniture area started looking around. Not even 2 minutes later turned around and she's sitting there staring at us.Trying to pretend she was talking to the manager.Or striking up a conversation while she kept an eye on us.The entire time we were in the discounted furniture area, we then took a left out of the backroom.To look at some beds and things saw she wasn't behind us, however, we went by a dresser that had a mirror on it.I looked in the mirror and she was yet again behind us.So we decide to leave. One last time. I turned around and she was talking to a gentleman in a lightish blue striped shirt. Which? Which I was in the parking lot when we got an hour vehicle. That gentleman decided to walk behind our vehicle to get the description of our vehicle possibly the license plate? Not exactly. Sure but he was pretending that he needed to go get carts for the store, intentionally walking behind our vehicle and staring at it so i got out and asked him about the woman that he was talking inside giving them a full description and he proceeded to tell me he had absolutely no idea who I was talking to and walked back in the store. Near my cousin did absolutely nothing. Except walk in the store. Like 2 normal people. I had a phone in my hand a dog toy. We weren't talking loud weren't talking loud?We weren't jumping around.I'm 39 years old, my cousin is 29. And that was the most rotten ignorant treatment. We have ever gone through our entire lives. And although I disagree with calling corporate on every little thing. The inappropriate behavior of your management was definitely reported. And if you have cameras you'd better look at them because of the fact that absolutely no reason for her to do what...

Kirby did not hover but, he was still close by at watch like a mother watching her child experience the park for the first time. He only popped up randomly to show us cool features that some of the couches had and then he would fade back into the homey atmosphere of Bob's salesfloor. When my husband and I had been sitting for a while and started to become one with a couch set Kirby popped back up and sat with us. He chatted with us about our lives and helped us to choose the best sofa set for our needs, with children and furry creatures residing with us. Kirby then asked us if we needed anything else and his charisma and those words were all we needed to hear to jump into trying out beds. We tried a few but they just weren't doing it for us, until Kirby suggested the perfect bed for us based on our comments of the other beds we had tried. We both climbed into bed and it was like the bed was made just for us. Kirby showed us some great features that came with the bed. We loved them but we did decline the party mode features as we are old and have no use for disco lights and the like. He graciously understood and put in the order for our basic but with some features, bed. Kirby then got an exception to have our things shipped to us out in the middle of nowhere. Which gave us peace of mind that we didnt have to strap everything to the top of my little camry and drive 500 miles. He helped us go through some financing options because not everyone carries thousands around in their pockets. While he was doing some stuff with numbers, we had complimentary coffee, candy and ice cream. What kind of furniture store has ice cream? Only the best one! He had us speak with a wonderful man named Mustafa who was excellent in explaining the ins and outs of the great fun that is financing. We then left the building and everytime we look at our couch or sleep on our bed we will be reminded of Kirby, the man named after the vaccuum but doesnt suck, and our excellent...

Our most recent visit to Bob’s did not go as it has in the past. My husband and I have purchased a few things from Bobs and always had a great experience. However, after losing our couch to the dogs, we went into Bobs on 8/17/25, with the intention to buy a lower costing couch from the pit due to the fact we have destructive dogs. We purchased a couch for $299, it had a few imperfections, not perfect but any means. The couch was loaded and home we went. We got home and discovered we had to take the backs off the couch to fit it through the door. We lifted the back off the couch only to find dog hair through out the under neath of the couch, along with food, Cheerios and peanuts to be exact, crammed down into the sides of the couch! We were told this was a floor model. This couch was 100% more than used and returned to the store and then put on the floor resale! We called Bobs immediately to explain and were told there was nothing they could do, final sale only! Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful that Bobs furniture would 1) sell a couch in this condition 2) not go out of their way to make this right with us. We may not have purchased to most expensive couch in the store but we are still customers, returning customers and deserve quality service, no matter what amount of money was spent. I will no longer be shopping at Bobs stores. Their lack of understanding, service and transparency in their product has ruined a loyal customer relationship. I will no longer recommend Bobs to anyone. Know that service like this puts your reputation as a business on the line. To think you have Better Business Bureau stickers displayed on your entrance doors, Bobs you should be embarrassed!

Brennon met us at the door introduced himself and said he would be around if we had questions. It was great to have the option of being with us on our hunt for a bed or calling on him when needed (like a genie in a lamp). lol. We chose to take advantage of his gracious and knowledgeable assistance. Norman and I told Brennon we were looking for a bed. He said we could look at beds first and mattresses second we thought that was great. As we started to progress through the store I needed to sit I am older with oxygen Brennon offered me a wheel chair I excepted(thank you Brennon). Brennon asked me a few questions about what I wanted and lo and behold the first bed he showed us was the one I was looking at on-line. I felt stuck with a certain color and style because we were keeping our old bureaus. Next to the one I thought we would get was a bed with drawers that would eliminate our old bureau. So I asked Brennon to show us beds with drawer which opened us to a realm of possibilities. As my king (husband) pushed me around the store in my carriage lol we found our perfect bed with a total of 6 large drawers. We also got a nightstand. Now on to mattress's. My husband laid on one and Brennon described it we went over to another one same type I laid down and I almost fell asleep in a minute really. That was the one Brennon helped us with the paperwork introduced us to the manager to double check and we were done. My husband the king finished the tour of BOB’s Kingdom by taking his Queen to their white steed (truck) and brought the carriage back. Thank you Brennon. Bed down below
